Saving/Backup!

Archive: 8 posts

Hi, I tried this once but couldn't get it to work. I backed up my levels on my PS3, but was not able to download it to a USB drive. Can anyone explain how I can do this? Do I need a PS3 specific USB drive?2014-09-29 21:10:00

no, not that I'm aware of. I've used several different kinds and it always shows it.
1. On the XMB (cross media bar), go to the Game section.
2. Go to Game Data I believe it is. I think that's where it shows the backed up levels.
3. Put in your USB drive
4. Find the game data you want to copy/backup, highlight it and hit the Triangle button.
5. Choose the menu option to Copy
6. the usb should be shown as one of the places to copy to. Hit the "X" button on the USB to copy data over to it.
same process for backing up a level.

PS3 XMB > Save Data Utility > LittleBigPlanet 2 > [Pick your level(s)] > [Press Triangle] > Copy > USB. If this doesn't help you try YouTube or just a Google search.

I need'a write faster. Peoples posting information before me!

I doubt its a NTFS formatted USB Stick. USB's are manufactured with FAT32 being the default.

Are you able to copy others to your USB Stick? If not like amiel445566 wrote, its NTSF.

Fair enough. Every USB Stick I have ever owned has by default been FAT32. Just stating.

Update: - I Got It! - Thanks for everyone's help
