Do you mean by going through a level link into a continuation of the previous level? I thought the level link already carries the score over. Or do you mean quit the level then go into a different level?

I am thinking jules means from one level to another as most of his levels do not use the level link.

I mean separate levels (not through a link) - I'm guessing the answer is no, but I'm not au fait with the latest tricks.2014-09-28 19:43:00

Absolutely do-able. Its very complex and would require many 'Tag Sensors', 'Tags' and 'Score Sensors' with a couple of almost all logic. I've worked the system in my head and I can say it can be done. I'll start writing it up for you if you want. Additionally if your not too good with logic I can build it for you.

A quick explanation of the system would function like this:

Detect score
Translate score into tags
Save score into memorizer
Translate tags into score
Give score to player

It'd be great for making in-game shops or levels where the player can continue progression.

'comphermc' made his own version without a memorizer but I think its difficult to implement into ones level. Here is the link:https://lbp.me/v/ywf89z

Tags? I was thinking along the lines of Counters & Timers on Speed Scale. Well if the Tags worked; great. If not, let me know. But about the Memoriser; when I tested it out, I seen that it only affected the Lead Player ONLY! Anybody know if/how it can be set to other players? Even just a Lead Player/All Players option would be nice.2014-11-06 23:18:00

Memorizer Data only affects the Lead Player, there are no options to make it affect other players in the game.

Anyway, as for transferring score through levels, perhaps this level could be of use to you, it gives some goodies at the end of the tutorial, one of which is a Score Memorizer. https://lbp.me/v/qrczwx3

Yes, tags.

If you want to have points give to another player in the case it's a versus level. You would use different coloured tags. The system is heavily dependent on logic obviously. But in theory, not that it won't work because it will, it's super complicated. I could do it, not to be big headed.

If you use the same tag for the memorizer, it will contain the same data that the last memorizer with that tag saved as (or reset as)(this also assumes it is the same PSN). A single score is quite easy to do and is found in the tutorial section, but a versus score would have to be something else as SEW was saying. :/2014-11-07 09:59:00

Indeed. What a pointless post by me...

Yes I do it in this level https://lbp.me/v/qr72dtf I don't remember it being too hard. I will have to check to see how it was done, I think I used a analog signal sensor. You will ahve to join me oneday so I can explain.2014-11-08 04:44:00

So jules, I'm guessing you've got it working by now. But on the off chance its not, how many ports are you planning on using for this? It took awhile, but I've got one set up that saves just over 1,000 different combinations of 'Player Inventory' using one port! I went to the Research Lab to tinker with the Score Sensor & Memorizer.... Wow... I haven't been in there in quite awhile, I made it while I was first going threw the tutorials, experimenting with new gadgets... so many memories.... Well I'm going to go ride Monty some more, a snake made of Chocolate Fountain material that you could unlock & use as your vehicle in Race Around The World and in the Battle Arena (back when Sticker Sensor where our Memorizers).

Thanks for all your replies on this, I ended up just putting in a scoreboard in both levels and publishing them separately (it was a couple of months back) . From what I've read about LBP3 there could be the option for a non-faff way to do this by setting up levels within an 'Adventure' framework' I guess? Haven't seen much beta feedback on the options of that and the progress scoreboards....2014-11-14 14:55:00

There's a new currency in your Popit in LittleBigPlanet 3 called Collectabells. They're just like Score Bubbles, except they can transfer through the levels in your adventure.

Progress Boards are just a fancy way of ending your levels showing your number of prizes collected and quests completed and such.

Right, so using an Adventure set-up, is there an option to keep a running score through multiple levels without using Collectabells?2014-11-14 15:28:00

There may be but I think we'll need to wait until the release to answer this question. I didn't see a way to do so in the beta though I didn't play it much so there may well be an option to do so.

Are collectabells a physical collectable or is there an option on the score giver to awards points in collectabells also?2014-11-14 15:44:00

They're just like Score Bubbles. You can set the Score Sensor to sense your number of Collectabells, and set the Score Giver to give you Collectabells.
