So I was at a friends house last night and we noticed some of his downloaded PS1 games don't work. He bought them from the PS store, never switched systems, and yet there's an error saying something like 'Please download/renew your license'... So basically he has to repurchase those game's licenses to ever play them again. It got me thinking, does LBP's DLC eventually expire? Specifically the ones licensed by outside companies? There's Disney, Marvel, DC Comics, and plenty of others. I've never really read through the Terms and Conditions since it's typically very long, so wondered if any of you have. It's obvious that the DLC will eventually be pulled when they shut down all PS3 servers (will be a sad day) but what about before then? Do we own it or are they 'lending' it to us for awhile?

I think I've had my digital copy of LBP1 say something like that after switching PS3, or restoring a backup or something. But I could just proceed and it would renew it. The friend should make sure the games weren't bought on a different PSN account, or contact Sony customer service.

Once you buy it, its yours to have. If you don't buy it, it has a chance to go off the store, due to contracts running out or for reasons like that. You should always read Terms and Conditions, as a certain South Park episode once taught me...
