Cornish Yarg Release?
Archive: 54 posts
I'm pretty sure Cornish Yarg is set to come out as patch 1.10. Has there been a target date announced for this? I know testing takes 6-8 weeks minimum. I haven't heard much about it lately. | 2009-02-23 23:41:00 Author: Unknown User |
It's out on a day ending in y probably going to be an r in the month too. | 2009-02-23 23:49:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |

It's out on a day ending in y probably going to be an r in the month too. Well, I guess that rules out June, July, May and August. Still, I think it's about a month away. But that's just me speculating. | 2009-02-24 00:22:00 Author: aer0blue Posts: 1603 |
Didn't someone post a flickr photo of their calander? I could've swore I saw it, or was it a fluke/prank/joke or something along those lines? | 2009-02-24 00:24:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
yea I saw it... I believe it was like a fluke that Mm accidently let the picture be released, then they went back after the fact and took the pic down.. Im sure its still floating around somewhere. | 2009-02-24 00:31:00 Author: Madafaku Posts: 738 |
They better get it out soon. Online Create will be so much fun. | 2009-02-24 00:46:00 Author: Sack-Jake Posts: 1153 |
That, and probably image import... SamProtagonist']Absent from this list is additional functionality - items such as liquids, image importing, creating online and so forth - we've got plenty of new functionality planned for the future, but they represent a huge amount of development so shouldn't be included in this list.I just noticed this... are you saying these features are part of planned functionality in the future or are you saying they're things people might suggest? I think it means they have plenty of stuff planned out already. Anyone agree? | 2009-02-24 01:26:00 Author: Unknown User |
I agree. I remember along time ago they said they would put in image importing. I still think it's a possibility. But bugs and online creation first please. | 2009-02-24 01:41:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |
They better get it out soon. Online Create will be so much fun. Meh, I prefer they truly test it through and through and take their time. Shall I remind you that the last time they added gameplay with a patch and promised us it was "ready" it did introduce a plethora or bugs? Anyhow, I can wait some weeks in order so it doesn't crap my game more. . | 2009-02-25 03:35:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |

I heartily agree; normally Im all for these things getting here sooner rather than later.... ...but then I remember the Capture Bug and the STUPID it caused me. Im willing to wait a bit as long as they do it RIGHT. | 2009-02-27 09:17:00 Author: Bridget Posts: 334 |

Definitely bugs first - but I might take image importing over online creation. I'm an illustrator, and the idea of custom decals makes me all tingly inside. | 2009-02-27 12:59:00 Author: Boogaloo Posts: 254 |
I'm quite worried about image importing.. It's going to be really cool and usefull, but there will be loads of Copyright issues, and it's probably doesn't consider your thermo as diner. More like a tiny little snack in the afternoon. What i'm trying to say is "Themooooo-Heavy" | 2009-02-28 21:35:00 Author: ThommyTheThird Posts: 440 |

I think it's still too early for it so doubt it will be 1.10. More than likely the next update will be for DLC only. When DLC was updated the last time, people started freaking out thinking that it was THE big update. I think that will happen again. | 2009-03-01 00:58:00 Author: Shalatii Posts: 103 |

What i'm trying to say is "Themooooo-Heavy" Not sure copyright issues is all that big of a concern; considering that there's currently no import feature, but people STILL get images they want into their levels anyway; it's just a pain in the butt to do so. | 2009-03-03 07:31:00 Author: Bridget Posts: 334 |

Ooooh! Definitely bugs first - but I might take image importing over online creation. I'm an illustrator, and the idea of custom decals makes me all tingly inside. That's also exactly why I want image importing, along with doing some texturing as well. I think it'll be really fun to draw things into materials using a sticker in the background to trace from. I would use the PS Eye to draw but the end result would be distorted because the camera is always held at somewhat of an angle. I've had 2 levels in mind for quite some time now but they're simply not possible at the moment without image importing. | 2009-03-13 18:00:00 Author: Unknown User |
Actually, I've had a LOT of success with tracing from images taken with the PS eye. I use a music stand and tape the picture to it so I don't have to hold it while taking the picture. I can then point the PS eye directly at the photo and get the aspect correct. The helicopter and ship sillhouette in "Jacques the Acadian Warlord" were done this way and ended up pretty striking. | 2009-03-16 19:50:00 Author: CCubbage Posts: 4430 |

superezekiel, genius. Plus, I'm absolyootely crACKers about cheeeeese, gromit. So, any update on the previous release days? | 2009-03-16 21:19:00 Author: dawesbr Posts: 3280 |
Thinking about it, Sam basically said there will be some public testing... Will it be that the patch could release only for select volunteer people and then when the thing really is debugged it would be release for the public? That would be real interesting because each of their patches so far did bring quite alot of new bugs. This means they need more people testing the thing and maybe more time fixing. . | 2009-03-16 23:03:00 Author: RangerZero Posts: 3901 |
any idea on date? please? im guessing next month =( | 2009-03-16 23:38:00 Author: Zommy Posts: 1232 |

I thought online creation was confirmed for Cornish Yarg, I think it is... As for some other stuff, the global envronment lighting tool will also be featured in it, and a music player so you can listen to your music while in create mode. | 2009-03-20 00:41:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino Posts: 5250 |

Wait, where did you hear this? I've also seen it in a couple of places, and as i've seen it is official, tho only that and global climate changer are the only things 100% assured for CY. | 2009-03-24 22:42:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
We'll be detailing the full contents of Cornish Yarg this week, with the update itself due for launch soon - I can't give any more precise details than that right now as dates are frequently subject to change upto the last minute. | 2009-03-25 16:56:00 Author: Unknown User |

I'm quite worried about image importing.. It's going to be really cool and usefull, but there will be loads of Copyright issues, and it's probably doesn't consider your thermo as diner. More like a tiny little snack in the afternoon. What i'm trying to say is "Themooooo-Heavy"True, Therefore I kinda hope that they will increase the filesize so you can add more. maxing out the thermo is allready quite lame, since the ps3 can handle WAY WAY more than the lbp thermo is letting you believe. since im the proud owner of almost all "total texture" packs, and created over 10gb of textures myself, im really anxious to see what this adds to lbp. But.. knowing LBP a bit, im sure you cant use your newly imported imag as a material.. and thats.. (fill in the blanks yourself) | 2009-03-30 13:26:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
