I may be some random dude that is posting a thread, but I have an idea;

A full blown world with a HUB city, if not more than one, that uses the new and old logic to make this idea into a game of its own; a world where the player can openly explore and progress. Unlockable abilities, prizes, world expansion, mini games, possibly even customization and, just maybe, able to be a 4-player experience.

There will be sections that lead to other sections that can be unlocked by playing the game-level, and if the new logic allows, updates to sections where the updates do not impede or interrupt the saved data of the levels. If not possible, then a work around would obviously be needed.

Each section will be as if I took a bunch of ant farms, and put them side-by-side that connect via chosen paths (Physical or Logical), and lead to even more sections that would more than likely have to be traveled to using level-links. The transition point would be something simple, like a doorway, tunnel entrance, or anything that can make the move from one section to another believable.

It will definitely be fun and difficult to make; finding problems and being able to solve the issues. I obviously do not want to simply say I will do it, or announce my current progress in designing the level-game due to the feeling that if I do, I might not finish, but I will definitely use everything at my disposal and work at it!

At the moment, there are some mechanic concepts being tinkered with, and hopefully they add somewhat of a new and unique experience. But due to my lack of knowledge on the upcoming logic, there is a hidden wall at the moment. Hopefully the ideas can be implemented, if not, well I am sure as heck gonna try and find a way!

Anyways, a big project is being planned. I am pretty sure I'll even come here one day and open a group to hopefully make a team to make this. But for the moment, it's me, LBP2 (Soon to be LBP3), and this notebook slowly filling with lead and ink.

I can't say I have ever made a game before, but I feel like I am now. Woot-woot for the possibilities!

Please take this game further as I've always wanted something huge like this on Little Big planet! If you are looking for a team of creaters, I would be fully on board with helping out.2014-09-27 11:18:00

The simple fact that you said something and that you showed interest, makes me want to work harder on it!

As a matter of fact. Here's the logo (http://ia.lbp.me/img/ft/0fa8ce7aae94e94889b0ea1c694f709f581d2715.jpg). Well... Not sure what the actual lingo is, but the title's look. Granted, this is just a maybe and the camera in LBP2 isn't really all that great, so detail and whatnot is so-so. Plus, to get a better shot, I had to enlarge the actual title and the lighting went all funky on me, especially with the background. For now, I am considering it, but it's a maybe on the title's look. May change it up for a title that reflects more of the story.

Ok, I like it. I had an idea to do a game like this around year ago, however I quickly realised that I couldn't achieve the scale I wanted simply on my own (lbp2 itself was also limiting). Is the game gunna be on LBP3 and what platform are you gunna build this on, PS3 or PS4?2014-09-27 20:47:00

It is being made in LBP2 at the moment, but it's only the bare bones of the levels' designs and I've been tinkering with the different mechanics. At the moment, there are a lot of mechanics I CAN use, but I don't know if the ideas I have not tested are able to be applied in LBP3. And since some of the mechanics can't work together, I'll have to choose which to keep based on the new tools. But maybe some of the mechanics can somehow meld well with the other mechanics using the new tools. I don't know- but! I will see.

As for which console, it's going to be the PS3; despite how much I would prefer it to be on the PS4. Since I do not own a PS4 and my 'game making' budget of $60 does not allow a sudden console buy, I have to stick with my current system.

At the moment, I am leaning more towards a stealth-like game, but I don't want stealth to be the only focus. I have some high tension and exciting boss battles planned, which will be the bulk of the extreme action mixed with some stealth elements and Bob's powers. But I don't want to go the modern stealth route where you sneak around to kill someone, which is a pretty big chunk of all 'stealth[to-kill]' games these days.

I MAAAAY be able to make a short 'demo' before LBP3 comes out, though I'm not going to rush that since everything hasn't been flushed out. If I do make a demo, the final product may not even be like the demo, so there's that issue as well.

Ok, I'm selling my PS3 soon so I may not be able to help out unless there's some sought of cross platform system in place for PS4. I really look forward to seeing this project further develop however. 2014-09-29 18:50:00
