simple logic help ? (random sequence help)
Archive: 4 posts
Hi everyone im hoping that somebody can help me with what would seem a simple piece of logic. I am creating a survival challenge ( teslas amazing magic machine ) i basically have 7 sequencers that need to be randomised so i hooked each one up to a single randomiser ... simple BUT i need the randomiser to slowly increase in speed and anything i plug into the randomiser dosent seem to work? so i guess my question is, How do i get a random sequence that will gradually increase in speed/ difficulty? Get out a timer and set its target time to the time at which the game will reach its max speed (i.e. A timer at 1 minute will mean that it takes one minute for the game to get to its max speed) and set its input type to "start count up". Get out another timer and set its target value to what the shortest interval between each sequencer's activation will be (i.e. If the timer is set to 0.5 seconds, there will be a delay of 0.5 seconds between the activation of the sequencers at maximum speed). Set the second timer's input type to speed scale and wire its output to its own reset input. Wire the first timer's output to the input of the second. The input of the first timer should be occupied by whatever wire is plugged into the randomiser's input. Next, take out seven AND gates and wire each to the input of its own sequencer. Make sure the sequencers are set to "start playing forward" as the input type. Finally wire the output of the randomiser to one input of all AND gates, and wire the output of the second timer to the second input of each AND gate. The sequencers should now activate very slowly to begin with and very quickly in the end. Just make sure to reset both timers when a game over happens. If you find that the sequencers aren't random enough, shorten the ON time of the randomiser. -Wolf :3 | 2014-09-18 01:25:00 Author: ShadowArcticWolf Posts: 131 |
You could use more than one randomizer. Put them on a sequencer set to the length of time of your game. Make the randomizers progressively increase in speed and stretch them out to fill the sequencer, so that when one randomizer ends the next begins. | 2014-09-18 03:16:00 Author: one-mad-bunny Posts: 334 |
randomizer at fastest setting, then enable detection at different speeds with a selector and timer there you are | 2014-09-18 04:57:00 Author: amiel445566 Posts: 664 |
