Item states between linked levels.

Archive: 4 posts

So I'm redoing a LBP1 level with LBP2 logic. The good news is the new level is far more organized and devoid of evil green static material. The bad news is, between the logic and the changes I have made, I'm running out of thermo and I haven't even started decorating.

The solution, of course, is a level link.

My issue is this. I have three "secret" areas in the level. When you find them they trigger a tag switch wired to the end of the level. (can't wait for the broadcast chip) If you found all three, it dumps prizes on you. Simple enough...

But how do I trigger the prize bubble screen on the second stage if I can't physically wire the action to the reaction? (For simplicity sake, a tag sensor in the first level to an emitter, lets say, in the second)

Is there a way?

If you have the DC level pack, the memorizer would work well for that. At the moment that's the only thing I can think of. Or use stickers, like the player a sticker for finding each area, and then put a sticker sensor at the end, and have it so you place all three or so stickers to get the prize drop.2014-09-16 01:31:00

Tag sensors (to say you've found them) wired into memorizer ports, then saved before you leave the level

then rechecking ports with an and gate hooked up to an emmiter

Ah, I forgot about the memorizer. I've never actually used it before. I'll play with a couple of blank levels to see how this works.

Sorry to be a pest, but can someone elaborate on this for me? I tried to mess with the memorizer last night and ended up with a bad case of dumb face.

As it turns out, my brian must have been fried last night. Tried again today, and it worked fine. Thanks for your help.
