LBP2 Hover -- without Gravity tweaker
Archive: 11 posts
Hello, have you ever tried to make a Hover vehicle using only thrusters and not Gravity tool on LBP2? Here is my hover, it uses Exclusively thrusters; it has an "AI" that keeps the hover in the air best possible. it can be activated or deactivated using "Circle" http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49164&d=1410809020 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49165&d=1410809021 https://lbp.me/v/qteb6c9 https://lbp.me/v/qteb6c9 | 2014-09-15 18:51:00 Author: xquake Posts: 73 |
If you're going to showcase an object, a level link or image would help | 2014-09-15 20:07:00 Author: theIronHorse Posts: 279 |
If you're going to showcase an object, a level link or image would help Thanks mate. Link was missing I don't know why; I've re-write it, and added pictures; thanks for advice. Regards, | 2014-09-15 20:27:00 Author: xquake Posts: 73 |
Why, yes, I have, actually. I made one for Contraption Challenge 18. It was supposed to transport a bomb, but had trouble with steep climbs and drops. How is yours with those? | 2014-09-15 20:35:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
Why, yes, I have, actually. I made one for Contraption Challenge 18. It was supposed to transport a bomb, but had trouble with steep climbs and drops. How is yours with those? I can tell you was not a easy job; I've created a circuit I called Hover AI; but basically is a circuit that will compensate how fast it drops or climbs, if it drops too fast then it applies power to thrusters to compensates the drop, and if is climb to fast it shutdown thrusters until it reach a good speed aprox. 0.5 up and 0.5 down, is not too bad I think it does the work; and keep hover in mid air. I will show the circuits in a moment. | 2014-09-15 20:47:00 Author: xquake Posts: 73 |
This is the chip that keep hover floating http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49172&d=1410905118 In fact is not too complex it basically calculates how fast hover is climbing up and then reduces amount of thrust power to compesate, at the same time if hover is dropping to fast then aplies sufficient power to thrusters in order to reduce dropping speed. The base of this circuit are the speed sensors that teach hover how to manage thrusters depending on speed. 49172 | 2014-09-16 23:15:00 Author: xquake Posts: 73 |
http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=49172&d=1410905118 ooh very clean, nice | 2014-09-17 06:02:00 Author: amiel445566 Posts: 664 |
ooh very clean, nice Thank you amiel445566, yes it's very simple indeed; I will publish later on an explanation how it works. ...or may be I should do that on Tutorials...? | 2014-09-17 16:32:00 Author: xquake Posts: 73 |
