HW Nightmare on Sack St

Hello Sackfolk, this is my entry for the LBPCentral Halloween Competition (click link or pic)

In this level you get to race through the houses of Sack Street on Halloween evening. Lots routes to try including upstairs, downstairs, front gardens to bounce on seesaws and trampolines, then it's on to the graveyard.........

Custom weapons include bats to seek out those in front, fire-spiders to give you that extra boost and glowing green spiders that crawl around waiting for the next unsuspecting victim!

Beware the bells that signal the lightning storm and a significant change to the calm racing environment of the pics below!

Race, with as you requested, lots of multiple routes, each with their own pros and cons. By which I mean some have prize bubbles, some have weapon pickups and some are just faster!

If you loot all the prize bubbles in the level there are, in my opinion, some of my best creations including the lightning effect, to be won

I think I got all the prizes! Oh so many routes. By the time I realized I was falling behind in the race looking for prizes and paths, it was a little late to fully catch back up! The changes as it progresses are really awesome and well done. That laughing pumpkin is really cool too!

I might be imagining it, but some of the weapon pods seem to be in the same order (like one on the left is boost, one on the right is mine, or something like that). I don't know if it was just coincidence or not, and it did come in handy when I was trying to go for the boost to catch up, but I couldn't tell if it was intentional. If so, I like the strategery you subtly put in.

I don't want to give much away, so it's hard to talk specifics, but I was really excited to find the final extra route.

Yes, the weapons are absolutely set on purpose and colour-coded so you know which one to go for to help you strategically, their position on the track going round was also calculated, for instance, no fire-spider boost before a bounce pad as is pointless.

It was suggested by gipsy following my last creation that multi-path levels are what I should continue to build. This is the result and I tend to agree with him as it adds a level of re playability that my previous levels didn't have so much.

I shall continue in this manner for future creations!

Thanks for the kind comments V2C, it's always appreciated when fellow creators note the effort put in to what seems like a relatively simple level. The skeleton movements are quite intricate, though look simple. You have some walking, one smoking in a coffin, one digging a 'friend' up with a spade whilst another is working the digger and the skeleton arms that reach out and grab are, I'm guessing, similar to the transformers arm movements you've been asking about recently.

I'd like to think I have a fairly sound knowledge with regard to 'motors' so if you need any further help, just shout.
