So I was takin' a gander at Khan Academy the other day... (for those of you who don't know, it's a cool website where you can learn schtuff for free!) which is really only amazing if you live in America ;P)) and I was checking out some of the subjects they had, and I stumbled on (if I recall correctly) high school grade math. Particularly the Pythagorean Theorem... Now...I'm a 22 year old more-or-less grown *** man, and it took me literally a entire hour to completely wrap my mind around that stuff. Now I consider myself pretty decent at logic in LBP. Enough so that I could pretty much make just about anything if I put enough thought and time into it. So I find it so weird and funny that I had so much trouble (and I mean A LOT OF TROUBLE) doing basic math/geometry, but find logic in LBP fairly easy and fun to do. I may have issues remembering all the rules with math or better yet, understanding why the rules work at all. Or that logic in LBP is much more creative in that there is never one way to do any particular thing and is more abstract. So I was just wondering, am I really freakin' stupid do you guys have anything like this? Where you're really good at something in particular within the realm of a subject but bad at something else in that subject??

As a non-American, what is "3rd grade maths". I can only assume it's maths you do in 3rd grade but isn't that for like 8 year olds? We don't learn Pythagoras' theorem until about 13/14/15. 1/2ab Sin C, a^2+b^2=c^2, SohCahToa. Despite failing A-level maths, I have a decent understanding. As for the question, I don't think there is. I've always followed "I'll never be the best at anything but I can be above average at everything". I'd like to say I'm an all-rounder. In saying that, I'm quite "clumsy" in the sense that, I make things very hard for myself, so woodwork, painting and things like that aren't something I can do well.

Math I've got pretty wrapped up. Mine is that I'm good at art like drawing, etc, and I can play the guitar fairly well, and even pick up some songs on piano despite never having played. ,But I cannot sing to save my life. Also, Why be average at everything if you can be great at everything? That's more my life's motto.

I really love Learning myself some new languages, especially at the site Duolingo which is also free. But when it comes to grammar and pronunciation so do I really fail. I have used khan Academy and it is indeed a great site but it takes some time to get to math at your own level.

I'm kind of the opposite. I'm pretty decent at football/futbol/soccer, but absolutely terrible at the FIFA games. As for other things... I'm good at programming and using logical statements within programs, but I can't totally wrap my brain around predicate logic and all of the "if p then q" complex logical arguments. I'm good at interacting with children and older adults, but my age group (18-25ish) I have a much harder time communicating with. I'm much better at getting along with women than other men. It's actually pretty funny to reflect on my-/yourself in this way.

I am good at coming up with projects and being enthused about them... ...but I suck at sticking to them. Minecraft Machinimas / LittleBigPlanet Videos / Minecraft Mod / YouTube LetsPlays / Learning how to animate / Just being lazy ...I flip flop between these things, without making significant progress in any :/
