Gah!

I was working on this level I've spent about a week on so far... I was almost ready to set up the boss fight, when my level spontaneously started destroying itself. All the pistons and such were spazzing out and everything just broke. I tried rewinding. It didn't go back to its previous state. Any help here?2009-02-22 20:49:00

Yep, there's no going back from this bug. Happened to me this morning on a level that was almost done and it has to be published by tomorrow! Nothing works in it any more, this bug sucks!2009-02-22 20:52:00

I deleted my level now, considering there's pretty much no way to get it back in working order... I might as well just not try if this'll keep happening.2009-02-22 20:54:00

I was using some dmatter to anchor the floor, but I guess there were so many moving parts... Large, moving parts. The level had a big ol' [it of lava that would rise and fall depending on the player's location.2009-02-22 20:57:00

I probably will when I get over the overwhelming hopelessness I'm feeling right now.
In the meantime I'll try to beat The Bunker.
And fail.
Again.

I had the same thing happen to me when I was about 80% through with my second creation. It was gonna be this big shaolin temple. Loads of work put into it, never got finished.2009-02-22 21:33:00

Well, I just hope this gets fixed soon, otherwise I'll never get anything done.2009-02-22 21:43:00

You're not alone, this happened to me too. I was soooo mad (said ******* and whyyy a lot that day). But eventually I got everything fixed.

If it happens again, don't delete it. After a few days, you might get the urge to go fix it, but if you delete it, that option is gone.

Before you leave level creation, always check everything in your level. Check if every block is in place, every switch unactivated, every dissolve undissolved. I encountered these but I was still able to rewind because i haven't left level creation.

It's a hassle making checks but it's worth it.
It's like checking if you left your appliances running before you go to work.

For the future, don't make complicated shapes.

EDIT - sometimes, when my actual level faltered, it looked like Disaster Report.
