Theck, thack, thock.

I would like an official tool to be able to take thick material and change it into theck, thack or thock sub-layered material without having to store bits of it in my poppit.

I feel like there's some LBP lingo I'm missing here. Theck, thack, and thock?

Theck = glitch material that is as thick as a checkpoint and occupies the same sub-layer, sackboy can move in front of it.

Thack= glitch material that occupies the same part of a thick layer as sackboy and can be climbed, jumped walked on.

Thock = sub layer as thick as theck, but in front of thack. Used by the developers in objects sackboy can climb in/through as the front bit that keeps you from jumping through the front of an object.

I'm going to have to agree with this. I don't know if the current glitched sublayers will work with the new layers, so an official tool would be nice also for the reason so that we don't have to store it in the popit. It would also be much easier to work with.2014-09-05 01:44:00

They had extra thin layers in the Vita version and you had various widths to choose from so I'm going to out on a limb here and say this is IN.2014-09-05 01:57:00

They need a tool to make you able to change the thickness of anywhere anyhow in the z axis on materials, so if you want you can have a little decorative bulge, or have the material be razor thin for small details

this seems like it could cover everything, an analog manual adjustment seems the best to me, but having a preset 1/20th thing could work as well, an implementation of both could work imo

I guess we just hope for the best

I thought about this, but since this was Digital Sumo, not Tarsier ... and since I didn't see evidence of it in the advance footage, I suppose I will have to wait or bug a beta test friend to see.

Obviously I would pick 360 thickness settings over 65. [(16x3 sub layers)+17 thin layers]

Or is it 377 (20 per thick plus 17 thin)?

The Tarsier solution would certainly make it easier for me to make my 66' Batman Batmobile, because it has a central ridge at the cockpit, and all my cars only occupy one thick layer (plus the thin layer in front of it.)

Yeah, I'm too much of an amateur to have used any of those, but I'd love this.

Let me make sure I understand. In the "tube" objects, back of the tube is "Theck", front of the tube is "Thock" and the part you run through is "Thack?"

In a tube, thack is the part you run on or under. You can't run through thack unless it is sticker panel, hologram, etc...

I can't seem to find what you're talking about in LBPV. Unless you're talking about a material's "Position in Layer" tweak, theck/thack/thock layers are not in the Vita version. Tweaking Position in Layer doesn't allow for objects in the same layer to be in front of or behind one another unless you dephysicalize one and if you do that, it doesn't prevent sackboy from moving through to the next layer like thock layers do.

No offence but Theck, Thack and Thock. Just sounds like words people use to try and cover themselves from using the F word while still implying it's meaning

Uh... they're supposed to be variations of the word "Thick" combined with the words that describe what each layer contains. Theck = Thick + Checkpoint. Thack = Thick + Sackboy. Thock = Thick + Object (I think).

The way I phrased that was confusing, but that's what I meant. Thack would be the "space" inside the tube.

I didn't know that! Thanks.

True but in the parts of Britain I am from these are common words people use to avoid saying @%$% but want to imply the meaning, I am not entirely sure these names would be acceptible in a game made by a british developer.
