A front/back toggle for edge editing on a single/multi thick layr material edit.

I know there is a tweakable ramp object, but I think I want more control for that. Especially since I use a couple glitch materials. | 2014-09-04 19:08:00 Author: DreadRandal ![]() Posts: 434 |
So.... you're asking for the ability to edit the back corners of materials? That'd be interesting, but I don't know how they would deal with the slope. Would even the slightest slope result in a slide? | 2014-09-04 19:39:00 Author: Ryuhza ![]() Posts: 355 |

Would even the slightest slope result in a slide? I would expect the same rules to apply as the x-y gradient. | 2014-09-04 20:16:00 Author: DreadRandal ![]() Posts: 434 |
It wouldn't be surprising if that's how some slopes we see in LBP3 already are made. | 2014-09-05 01:46:00 Author: Bladex61 ![]() Posts: 348 |
It wouldn't be surprising if that's how some slopes we see in LBP3 already are made. They were probably made with the slide tool that they showed off in the Gamescom create mode demo. Still, I like Dread Randal's idea. It has potential to get kind of messy, but would go a long long ways to improve level aesthetics. | 2014-09-05 05:59:00 Author: Ryuhza ![]() Posts: 355 |

I know, but I mean for fine tuning like with editing the incline. | 2014-09-05 17:14:00 Author: Bladex61 ![]() Posts: 348 |
The incline is probably just a tweak on the slide. I doubt that this tool, as DreadRandal describes it, is in the game right now, but it would be a great add before release/later down the line. | 2014-09-05 21:01:00 Author: Ryuhza ![]() Posts: 355 |

Yeah, but we have no way of knowing right now. It's a feature I would like to see added as well. | 2014-09-06 01:26:00 Author: Bladex61 ![]() Posts: 348 |
What about clipping slides into other slides, giving them curves as they go down? The idea would work with a steep slide up top, clipped into a slide that is slightly flatter, etc, until you've got a nice curve going to the flat, normal layers. | 2014-09-08 06:01:00 Author: RikoruDaniel ![]() Posts: 43 |
I'm sure you'll see a lot of slides repurposed as roofs and the like. | 2014-09-09 19:42:00 Author: DreadRandal ![]() Posts: 434 |
I'm sure you'll see a lot of slides repurposed as roofs and the like. Yeah, it's going to have a lot of decorative uses as well. Especially for buildings. | 2014-09-10 00:54:00 Author: Bladex61 ![]() Posts: 348 |
