that happened to me right before i joined lbpc and i was wondering who else was forced to play the whole game all over again just to get there stuff back or completely lost a really awesome level they was working on. i mean i'm just wondering.

I had my data corrupted just after the MGS pack. But i have done a save backup so i didn't loose all my profile. Just the mgs element... OUCH

I had a corrupt save file within the beta, and the game kept booting me back to the XMB when I tried to play the game on my account before this last patch.

My 1st PS3 broke and my back-up data was also corrupt. :argh: I had already finished the game completely so I figured there wasnt any point in doing the whole thing again, so I used DrunkMiffy's data.

Hi SuperBlast, I had the same thing happen to me a few weeks ago. I played a level with a friend and when we came back to my pod it wouldn't work. It got corrupted somehow and I couldn't access the pod control at all and when i opened my popit menu it was totally empty. I had to delete my profile data and start all over again which was a real pain as i even had to go through all the tutorials again aswell ( really humiliating ). That was the bad news but there is some good news which I hope may help you aswell which is : I had saved the data onto a memory stick before deleting it and sent an email to MM about the problem. I waited a few days but had no reply so that's when I bit the bullet and started all over again. Just my luck that the very next day i got a reply from Constantin ( QA at MM ) who was very helpful and got me to send the data to him after which he advised that all i needed to do was put my corrupted file back in and reset my pod decoration and it should be ok. I thought that was a bit too simple to help in this case but i tried it and lo and behold it worked. I can't believe I didn't try that to start with ( DOH !). I don't know if that would work in your case but it's got to be worth a try. Of course I lost the new stuff I had made with the new profile but rather that than lose all my old stuff completely which took ages to gather. 1 strange thing as a result though is that for some reason a lot of community levels I had previously played and hearted now show up as not being hearted even though my comments are still there and my scores so i'm trying to go round them all again now as far as i can remember and reinstate the hearts. If i miss anyone's i apologise , it's just that there were so many i can't possibly remember them all. Anyway let me know if this is any help to you. That goes for anyone suffering a similar fate. Hope you get it sorted soon.

My data got corrupted because I had too many Community Objects. Thankfully, I didn't lose much progress.

I think my resistance 2 data got corrupted because of my hard drive and I'm scared LBP will do the same (though it has stuck through the crashes so far). If I copy all the files and format my PS3 you reckon it will be fixed? At first I thought it was the blu-ray but now I'm almost certain it's the hard drive; it will only crash when saving.

I had several problems since the 1.07 (MGS pack), until I discovered a way to make fool of the unsaving bug. After then I met the IMPOSSIBLE TO LOAD LEVEL bug and lost entirely my new level (actually I rebiult it and I'm half-way to finish it). I was very angry, disappointed, raged, I posted here in rage and had also a staff notification and being warned... Also I lost some aced levels that I still cannot ace anymore (sigh). I didn't lost my entire profile though (and I wish I won't). Recently I C the things are going better and I hope to never meet up with the data corruption again.
