Freddy is coming, to haunt your ps vita

Hi all,
A few days ago I decided I would try to create a lbpv version of Five Nights At Freddy's. It didn't seem that hard, and it was interesting.
Right now, things are going pretty well. I decided I'd show you guys the guard room, so that you know what you can expect:

However, I'm very bad with music sequencers. So, if anyone is interested in creating the part of the "March of the Toreadors" Overture from the Carmen Opera that is played when the lights go out (the music box version), please tell me.

Cool It's funny because a couple of days ago I was thinking maybe I should try to remake five nights at freddy's on lbpv. Looks like you hold the torch now. If you need any help with logic let me know

Right now, I''m wondering about the specific movement pattern for each animatronic. I can probably find that on the wiki though. For the rest the logic for this seems to be pretty simple.

Hmm, making freddy was pretty hard, considering you can only use a few 3d objects. However, since he only pops up for about 0.5 seconds, people won't have the time to closely inspect him, and they won't see that he doesn't look that frightening.2014-09-10 20:14:00

I agree that making nice looking objects, for example Freddy, can be difficult. However, I think you should zoom in more to the face, since the arms look kind of silly to be honest, and give Freddy a big ol' gaping mouth. Throw in a dark, blue lighting as well.

Also, I know that it's still early in development, but in the guard room put down some lbp-related posters. In fact, you can even call the game "Five Nights at Sackboy's" and use the story characters as animatrons.

Wait, that's Bonny the bunny... I'm still looking at the posters, but it isn't possible to paste stickers in the background. I could make the posters by first creating them in a normal layer, but then I have no idea on how to move it to the background layer. I know how to move it to the frontal layers but that is not an option.
I have looked a lot at youtube footage from freddy, pausing it at the moment he jumped up. I thought this was pretty close, but I can try to improve it. Right before he jumps up, you can see his arms. The camera should be moved a bit higher though. (Lol, so much to still improve...)

Also, the Five night's at sackboy's sounds like a very interesting thing, probably as an option to choose between the Freddy characters and the story mode characters. However, I would have to think of a way to make them look freaky. Any ideas?
If I implement it I will definitely credit you.

The extra background layers are pretty difficult to work with at times. I'm definitely not experienced enough to provide any tips on that but perhaps someone else can help.
Not quite sure how scary you could make the story characters (they're all kinda cute to begin with). Maybe just give them an angry expression and use the right lighting.

Nope! This is just bad. I didn't expect this to be so hard. Right now, a great option seems to be "five nights at Carnivalia", based on your idea, shadow. It is easier to just add a few sackbots, and I have a bit of freedom in how the different rooms look. I will have to work with emitting/destroying, but I've experimented with that before.
For those of you specifically interested in freddy&co, don't worry. I will continue trying to create better looking versions. If I succeed, I will probably add the option to choose between freddy or carnivalia.

Jesus, that Freddy seriously crept me to the maximum. Guess you did a great work designing Freddy lol

Keep on making this level, even though I don't have a Vita. You will develop both your creating skills, and learn how to make levels within creepy levels, if you classify the level as such.

Well, yeah... I had quite a situation here. While creating some guy contacted me that one creation could give me everything I wanted. I got creating and was suddenly abducted to a very dangerous world... I managed to build a base, but huge gigantic monsters came to wreck it. Then there were hounds, lots...
okay, I have to admit, I may have been a little bit addicted to don't starve...
anyway, I'm going to create right now. I'll try to make some process, haha.

also, I did make progress. I would put up a screenshot, but I'm writing this on my vita, and it doesn't allow me to.

Yay, a significant update! I've worked on "foxy's" hallway, and the dining room is ready to go.

Also, the kitchen is almost done (as in "I haven't started yet, but it's only a matter of 30 seconds")
Really, with the release of FNaF2 I've got to release it very soon (Free publicity, yay!).

Aw yeah baby, we're back online!

Alright, I've made some serious progress. (I oughtta, after all this time) Every room in the building is finished, and the cameras are working great. The power system is up and running, and right now I'm working on the different character models for each room. It shouldn't take to long now anymore.
I hope I can say: It's all smooth sailing from here on out!

also, sorry for double posting, but if I would just edit my previous post it wouldn't appear as an update...

Welp, friggin apocalyptic curse nuggets.
My vita is dead. literally 1 month after my warranty expired, it started acting up, and now it just mostly refuses to charge up. I also had to buy a new charger, since the original was broken. The new one fell down in pieces within a month. I bought another one, but the same thing happened again. I'm not going to waste my money on another one. Instead, I'm planning on buying a new ps vita, but I have no idea when. luckily, I have the money.

Also, I have a problem with Chica. You know how she likes to peek through the window? Well, that window is in the background layers. Sadly, you can't put stickers on the background layers. So, chica would look like what she actually exists of: a bunch of walnuts, an orange or two, and some other stuff.
Now, I guess I could put chica in front of the door (like bonny), but it doesn't feel quite right. So, I'll have to find a solution for that too.

Anyway, I guess the "smooth sailing" thing is not going to happen. Yay!

For the Chica problem you could put a sticker panel with the sticker all the way back in the same layer as the window. You could edit the sticker panel and change its position in layer to -20. Then it would look like it is behind the window.

Edit: Shadow, I must say that you really made me think about the lbp styled FNaS thing. I think that I may have an idea for a FNaF styled game, but... Well, different. However, it would need the creation of another 10 rooms, and a whole different logic system as well. Since I haven't even finished FNaF yet, it might take a while before I can take a proper look at it. It would be interesting though.

So is your problem that the other background layers would be in the way of Chica? Because if so, you can do what i suggested earlier but move the position to positive 20. This should make Chica appear in front of the other objects even if they are in the same layer.

I hope I am helping some, let me know if I do not get it though.

You have the three thick standard layers 1,2 and 3. Behind that are the "thick background layers" 4-8. W stands for the window, and C for chica. The spaces in between are the thin layers.

So basically, the window and chica are too far into the background to use sticker panels.
I hope the number thingy explained it a bit. Although it could also be pretty confusing.

Edit: I'm starting to think of solutions, and my hands are itching to get creative. Just a few more days, I guess. When you can put your ideas in practice, solutions tend to come around the corner a lot quicker.
