My Suggestions and Ideas.

Archive: 3 posts

Hi Everyone, I unfortunately missed the beta as codes didn't work... anyhow...

I know, its probably too late for ideas as the games out in 3 months, but I had a few

The main thing I was always sad about in LBP2 was the water. great as it was, I always would have always loved free flowing water.
It could be a case of setting a general sea level for the water, you could then have a water material that can be drawn like a normal material, in layers, then when its actually stamped down it flows out like real water, filling to the size of the stamped block. If it is above sea level, it will try to flow down to sea level (so if you say stamp a water block in rock, then make a little hole, it would drain out through the hole. This would make it dynamic water.
Also how thick water is - In creasing its thickness makes it more solid, like squishy gel you can walk on.

That sounds like a great idea, but the physics simulation that would be needed for tweakable flowing water is beyond the PS3's capabilities (when everything else is taken to account as well). I'm not even sure how far the PS4 would get with something like that.2014-09-02 16:09:00

This has been suggested many times for good reasons. It would be very useful. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to implement but like mentioned I imagine it is tough. Otherwise it would have probably been added already.2014-09-02 16:58:00
