Global Material Changer.

Just a simple one really. Instead of having to manually click on every material you want to change, just give us the option to change the material in the menu that shows you what stuff you've used in a level (can't remember what it's called) and it automatically changes all that material in your game. | 2014-09-02 07:59:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

If you've made something out of cardboard, all you do is click on the material in your menu and it gives you the option to change material. So instead of having to search out that material, you simply change it all at once. | 2014-09-02 09:32:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

Solid idea. I'd add a part two and three. And in-game global material tweaker (suddenly all that pretty green sponge is EVIL) and an in-game material changer for individual objects. You should add this to the logic thread (which should probably be in this forum) https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=89473-What-new-types-of-logic-would-you-like-to-see/page6 | 2014-09-02 15:41:00 Author: Biv Posts: 734 |
This would be great. Especially for when you're nearly finished with a level and want to change some materials to reduce lag and you can't seem to find that one last piece of cardboard. This would certainly be a great time saver. | 2014-09-02 16:54:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |

This would certainly be a great time saver. That is EXACTLY why I came up with the idea. I spent hours trying to track down a piece of cardboard and couldn't find it. It drove me nuts! | 2014-09-03 00:06:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
I just realised... Is this still necessary after the Dynamic Thermometer? Hopefully, more materials shouldn't really cause any damage. | 2014-09-03 01:14:00 Author: wally-217 Posts: 521 |

Plus this feature would also be useful for viewing how different materials would look with scenery without having to change every little thing each time. | 2014-09-03 02:37:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |

Plus this feature would also be useful for viewing how different materials would look with scenery without having to change every little thing each time. Another great advantage. Would play well into the idea of having a mini-scale overview of your level generated as you build it; a little map that you could use to check what materials are where, and also to transport yourself instantly to another part of a potentially ginormous level without all the zoomin' around and stuff. | 2014-09-03 03:49:00 Author: Ryuhza Posts: 355 |

Oh yeah, I remember that being suggested in another thread. Hopefully something like this is added since it would be very convenient. | 2014-09-03 04:23:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |
I just realised... Is this still necessary after the Dynamic Thermometer? Hopefully, more materials shouldn't really cause any damage. It isn't to do with saving thermo. It's just a far more efficient and sensible way of changing materials. | 2014-09-03 04:27:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

What about full on customizable Huds like in LBPK? [with more features and custom objects/logic] | 2014-09-08 06:03:00 Author: RikoruDaniel Posts: 43 |
