Sackbots being able to Swim and use Grapple Hooks and Jetpacks
This

But I have many other wishes so my top one at the moment would have to be having the ability to change the color and brightness of any decoration freely and individually. Especially with costumes since I know this can be achieved with material. I don't want to have certain decorations go to popit color. I also would like this for basic decorations that don't normally change color, white of course would be its default appearence. For animated decorations, I would like the animation speed to also be adjustable on costumes. Now I know this is a stretch but maybe even having the option of being able to sticker decorations could be cool yet I can see why that one would be difficult, but it IS a wish after all.

Stable framerate. I'm not joking. The rest will be good, we know what lbp is now.2014-09-02 12:06:00

This would be better placed in the 'everything else ...' section of the forum. This section is set aside for projects or ideas for projects.2014-09-02 15:25:00

Or perhaps in "suggestions"

and paintinators.

there's a glitch for that

but incorporation of that would be awesome

A "Micro" grid setting, smaller than small. You can already fine tune bits and bobs to move in increments that are smaller than small using rods, but it's a hassle.2014-09-04 16:46:00

I like this idea.

I already made a thread about it, but a tool to toggle thick material into theck, thack or thock sub-layer material.

I feel like there's some LBP lingo I'm missing here. Theck, thack, and thock?

Theck = glitch material that is as thick as a checkpoint and occupies the same sub-layer, sackboy can move in front of it.

Thack= glitch material that occupies the same part of a thick layer as sackboy and can be climbed, jumped walked on.

Thock = sub layer as thick as theck, but in front of thack. Used by the developers in objects sackboy can climb in/through as the front bit that keeps you from jumping through the front of an object.

Well that explains it! I've never used glitch stuff much, although that's interesting-- all those sublayers. I was just asking for a way to more easily fine-tune material shapes using the grid settings in the start menu. Small is great, but sometimes one would like to make ity-bity adjustments for more controlled sensors (especially impact sensors) or just for intricate designs.2014-09-04 20:12:00

I wonder if we'll still be able to use glitched sublayers in LBP32014-09-05 01:31:00

You can make down to 1/5 grid with just materials, like cardboard squares, that move things completely accurately, and its not much of a hassle

but microgrid would be awesome, maybe like a grid system in rhino, where you can set the increments you want, heck in rhino you can have grid spaces of .023597230975 (yes you can have accurate masses of keyboard mashes)

It seems like the code could be manipulated enough to have this tweakablility put in, its not really a stretch to the physics system

A grid option that forces the camera to skip across (or up and down) by one whole screen, without scrolling.2014-09-09 17:48:00

Ive been using decorations lately, and I noticed that when you initiate the detailed Sackboy editing (hovering a decoration/sticker over sackboy for a second), you can use (if memory serves) R1 and R2 to angle the camera upward or downward to see the top of Sackboy's head or his underparts a little easier. It would be really great if we could use that same function when decorating/stickering stuff in our levels.

It's very difficult to accurately place decorations or stickers on the top/bottom/side faces of materials when the camera is as stiff as it currently is. Sometimes you have to set up your own in-game camera just to get a proper viewing angle of the surface that you're trying to sticker/decorate, and that's always a hassle. I might be forgetting something I don't think the shoulder buttons on the right side (I know L1 & L2 still function in hiding/unhiding objects) of the controller have any function when using the sticker cursor.

Power ups underwater

I'd like to see what ways we would be able to mess with the physics for that.

I'd like to be able to toggle all speeds between the 360 "Speed" rate we have on rotators and pistons and the per/sec. we have on cameras and sequencers.

This would make timing events much easier for amateurs like myself.

I would like a "turn by degree" option on rotators and bolts and a "Move by increment" option on pistons and movers.

I'd like a mass adjuster on the material tweaker. No more cardboard not supporting my weight.

I'd like a destruction sensor. I know you can fake this with tags, but it's a pain.

I'd like the option to make power ups and the power up negator invisible.

Wow, I'm not on here enough. I never thought of that.
