ps4 red and blue controllers in pod
Archive: 16 posts
Not the most important thing but I think it would be cool if the PS4 could sense if you had a blue or a red controller and accordingly change the color of the pod-controller. What do you guys think? | 2014-09-01 19:05:00 Author: Laxen333 Posts: 43 |
Impossible lol would be cool if we can paint the controller on pod how about that that's way more reasonable | 2014-09-01 19:11:00 Author: rave2014e Posts: 67 |
That'd be neat, but I don't think there's any tech in the red/blue DualShock 4's that identifies them as being red or blue. In other words, the game would have no way to tell. | 2014-09-01 19:13:00 Author: Ryuhza Posts: 355 |
As the others said, its unlikely there is any "tech" in the controller that identifies what color it is. However, an easy solution to this would be able to sticker the controller. | 2014-09-01 19:30:00 Author: Smuffy04 Posts: 606 |
Many people want to be able to edit the appearance of the controller because it often seems out of place in certain pods. Some people like to give their pod a theme (Lets go with a forest for example) A controller looks out of place so some people would want to be able to sticker and and even place decorations on it. It's a feature that should really be added. | 2014-09-02 01:33:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |

But what about the popit colour? The motion control's light does match the player colour, so why not the Dualshock 4 do that? | 2014-09-03 23:27:00 Author: ShiftyDog Posts: 293 |
But what about the popit colour? The motion control's light does match the player colour, so why not the Dualshock 4 do that? Because there is no tech in the controller that analyzes what color the controller is. | 2014-09-03 23:32:00 Author: Smuffy04 Posts: 606 |
The color of the controller can't be analyzed. The different colored controllers have only one difference among each other and that's just... well... the color. The insides of the controllers are all the same which is why this wouldn't work. | 2014-09-03 23:54:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |

In what ways has this been used? | 2014-09-04 05:11:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |
I didn't think that would actually be a thing. In what ways has this been used? Amiel is being jokey. Unless you're talking about the button strength thing. | 2014-09-04 06:00:00 Author: Ryuhza Posts: 355 |
Amiel is being jokey. Unless you're talking about the button strength thing. That's what I thought. But yes, I was referring to the button strength. I didn't think the buttons were pressure sensitive if that's what we've been referring to (Like mashing triangle as opposed to lightly tapping it) | 2014-09-05 01:40:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |

Some are, like R2, L2, Joysticks, and tilt, but buttons are boolean I knew that much. I would have been very surprised if X, Circle, Square, Triangle, R1, and L1 were pressure sensitive though. | 2014-09-05 17:18:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |
What about the PS4 controller's light changing to fit your popit colour? Is that already a thing? Am I just being dumb? | 2014-09-08 06:08:00 Author: RikoruDaniel Posts: 43 |
What about the PS4 controller's light changing to fit your popit colour? Is that already a thing? Am I just being dumb? Well PS move did that. So I guess it's to be assumed that the PS4 controllers will too. | 2014-09-08 19:41:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |
