I agree he should do it... after all, anything that helps charity is great. However, isn't the rule that you have to do it first and post proof of such venture in order to nominate him? Just saying...

If this was to happen, shouldn't you make some sort of donation list first, as in, people pledge to donate money to charity (specifying how much) and once there's a decent total, StevenI does the Ice Bucket Challenge and then everyone actually donates the money to charity. If it's not actually raising awareness/money for the/any charity, it doesn't really have much purpose.

but that's not how the ALS ice bucket challenge works. You publicly "call out" or nominate someone to do the challenge. They have 2 choices. Donate to the ALS foundation or do the Ice Bucket challenge. Most do both.
