We have 2 options, either we do it ourselves wherein all entrants get 1 vote (you can't vote for your own level obviously) and send them to me, I'll collate them and announce the winner. Or, hyper has already said he would be happy to judge alongside some of the other Spotlighting Crew. Whatever is easiest dependant on the number of entries!

If any entrants want their level to have a chance at being spotlighted, you must make a post about your level in the Karting Level Showcase thread and we will check out your level along with the other spotlight potentials. As I will be traveling and may not make the deadline I am looking to help those in need of Halloween props for the contest. I have started to make some basic goodies that provide atmosphere and will be publishing these as a free Halloween themed DLC level. I'm sticking with basic Halloween and "Trick or Treat" themed items. I've got a door that opens when you drive up to and stop on the welcome mat. As well as Pumpkins! Lots of Pumpkins! A very kind offer Maxx, they look excellent. Give them out by all means, this really should be a comp for creators to show their own stuff but I'm happy for entrants to use these. There should still be custom objects made by the level creator as prizes please! Note: I've put together a nice signature banner for the winner of this comp just so you can show off with every post you make!

Contest update: We've had 200 views! Excellent! It's my hope that 5-10% of the total views translate into levels being built. I've had confirmation that dsmmat (team picked and spotlighted creator) is working on something for this and also a couple of other spotlighted creators are joining in! Come on Sackfolk, let's really get some momentum behind this. As stated before this is open to all. There has to be LBP creators who would like to show off their impressive logic skills within the LBPK 3D environment!

What Happens If It's To Hard? Will You Count It As A Disadvantage? Wow, that's speedy creation work! In answer to your question. There's no disadvantage making a level tough as long as it's fun. I'm sure the karting community will let you know! YOUR advantage is getting the level out so quickly. This now gives you the opportunity to improve the level right up until the deadline (if you so wish) in response to reviews.

Are those banana pumpkins? They look great! Yes, thanx! They are bananas! I have other pumpkins too, turned into jack-o-lanterns. What an ordeal - my computer died. On top of everything I had no idea how to sign back on the forums or what internet abled device to use for the forums. I've been working on the (very simple) Halloween DLC level and should publish it Fri. or Sat. - Again, main reason is to get Sackpeeps who don't lurk around the forums to find the contest and give some creative ideas to other Sackpeeps!!

My free Halloween DLC level is published. Link below. It seemed to be glitching, maybe it was just my playthrough was lagging. The text I was looking to have appear in the HUD that would describe the items you are looking at and about to pick-up (the prize bubbles) seemed to appear after you had driven over the tag sensor and left the area. Not sure if it's me and my copy of LBP:Karting, because I'm quite certain I glitched my Earth with my Tank level. I searched the Help! forum, but didn't find anything directly related to weapon pods causing freezing. I have a good amount of high thermo scenery, and while it's only about 4/5 or 5/6 full, I think thermo is the culprit. I'll take some of that foliage out, even though it looks so good, and hopefully that helps.

I'm aware (having done a couple of beta tests for him) of a level fairly close to completion by Laidbackcat. It's something definitely a little bit different, but still within the theme. In fact I know he's a little concerned about certain sections being possibly too full on, but hey, it's a Halloween level after all, you should know what to expect.........and I expect you'll be scared! Ok Sackfolk. Here's the current state of play. 2 and a half weeks to go until the deadline of 26th October. Well over 900 views of the thread. Sadly very few entries so far and of those entries very little plays reflected considering the views! I really hope we see a huge influx of levels soon to show just how much we really do enjoy LBPK. Even if you're not creating anything, please try all the levels published so far and review if possible. I'd like to be able to get an idea of which levels stand out to the community. Thanks to the creators who've built levels so far and the ones I know are currently being put together/completed. Once again I'd urge anyone reading this with access to LBPK to give all the levels a go and check back often to see if new entries have been submitted. Wow, eight weeks have flown by since I started this Karting comp. Over 1200 views, which is amazing in itself. I was going to say just 24 HRS LEFT but if course we have an EXTRA HOUR, this wasn't by design Sackfolk, just lucky. GMT moves back tonight by one hour, just enough creation time for those last minute entries. If it transpires that no more entries are submitted before the deadline tomorrow night then I think we'll revert to my initial suggestion, wherein I'll contact all the creators (via PM and PSN) who've taken their valuable time to build a level, and get their vote on who should win.
