Hey, everyone. My first published level is done and looking for plays! I entered this in the www.lbpforum.net competition, and is now up for show. Thanks in advance!

I just got done playing this and I had a pretty good time. I especially liked the story you made. Very interesting.

Pros:

- The level and W.I.F.E.s look very good.

- It's got a very different and fun story.

- The level looks and feels like a city that's been overrun by horrible machines. Nailed it.

- I liked the W.I.F.E. we had an encounter with. It gave off a murderous vibe.

- Nice twist at the end.

Cons:

- The two zipline-like things are hard to get started. Try making the metal have a steeper angle. Also, making them longer/more of them couldn't hurt.

- There's some visible switches, a visible patch of tiny dark matter near a moving platform, and some of the dissolve that's visible could be colored.

- I was really hoping for more interactions with the W.I.F.E.s, especially near the end. The lack of them disappointed me.

Overrall I had a good time and I gave this 4 stars. I can't wait for the sequel. If you could give me some feedback on my level (see sig), that'd be awesome.

I like the macabre mentality behind this level. The way you have designed the W.I.F.E. robot things was great in a creepy sort of way. I really liked that you used the level to tell the story and didn?t cram it down our throats through text bubbles or non-player characters.

I think that you have a very good job setting the theme and mood of the level even though the design of everything isn?t terribly sophisticated. I don't want this to be a criticism of your skills as I like the aesthetic you have created in the level. There are various visible magnetic switches or similar nuts and bolts and I typically prefer these to be hidden.

I did have a very hard time crossing the two zip-line structures as a few other people did. The circle part at the top is a metal material and the bolt connected to the shaft is not in the center of the metal circle. This makes it very hard to swing to the left or right as the metal used is very heavy and the zip-line handle is not in the center of gravity.

I originally thought that the second zip-line was glued down as it wouldn?t budge at all and was going to quit the level but I gave it a few more tries and finally got it moving. It would be a very good thing to fix this, maybe make the top circle part a lighter material or make sure that you attach the bolt the dead center of the circle.

Things picked up again after this and I was having more fun. I liked the mindless menace that the W.I.F.E. had and the ending was great and leaves me wanting to play the next one when it is released.

I think that the biggest advice I?d have is to clean up the presentation by hiding the switches and keys and so on. For that the level is intending to be I think it is well done and fun to play. It brought to mind Saturday afternoon popcorn science-fiction movies that I?d watch with all of my friends when I was younger.

Thanks for the great feedback. I know there was a few visible switches, I sort of rushed in publishing it as I was running late in the contest. It's over now, and I'm re-polishing it again. I'm still expanding it currently, and thinking of a plot for the sequel. Thanks again! 2009-02-28 02:06:00

I just hd a go on your level. I liked the pared down design, and the shapes of the level architecture and characters are really atmospheric - the music selection adds to this effect.

Unfortunately I couldn't get past the zip-line section! The first one went kind of okay, but I was swinging about like an orangutan on crystal-meth for about two minutes, to no avail. I tried to take a picture of the bit I was on - but that makes your character let go, and I lost my last life.

The second zip-line is inclined to the right, and it would be better inclined to the left - towards the direction your going in, especially as you've used heavy materials for the mechanism. I'm sure that this is a minor oversight. I'll give it a go again later - but from what I've gathered so far, it's a very atmospheric level, with an intriguing and original narrative.

I'm fixing that bit, It was a little hard to balance it out, as the ball kept rolling to the other side. It's all about momentum... Will definitely change that when I log in 2009-03-04 07:39:00
