When aliens attack and threaten to rid the Earth of life, it's up to Sackboy to stop them.

Difficulty: Hard

Type: Platformer

Hi LBPC! This is the first of many levels I plan to publish on the forums. Have fun and enjoy my level!

I'm having some trouble with this one. After the intro movie completes, I'm dropped into a black box, and nothing happens. Is there supposed to be a level link? Double check to make sure it is working properly.2014-08-22 13:20:00

O.o that's weird. Every time i played it the level worked. I'll go double check.
EDIT: I TRIPLE checked the level. Turns out it had an issue with the level link. I'm positive that it works now.

Had some fun with this, but found myself struggling with the attact-o-gel bounce pads, because of hoe the work, I need up upside down a few times and then just buzzing past a huuuge section of gameplay. It felt a bit like a cheat.2014-08-30 04:05:00

This level has a great intro which is well detailed and really sets the mood for the struggle and fight ahead. However the rest is a bit of a disappointment. The gameplay is fairly decent however can be exploited fairly easily as mentioned above you can skip large sections of the level just by going beneath the attracto gell. While others were just arkward, Throw there rocks at the aliens for example was unnecessarily difficult. After that all I thought was they are only now realizing I am here? I just think the visual designs are aa bit weird one momment we enter a futuristic alien water sucking machine the next we are in some sort of cave fighting alien fire ninjas? Ok there is nothing that doesn't sound awesome about the ninjas but the settings don't really fit the surrounding or story. Then we get to the alien ship and my gosh, it is like the intro all over again well designed and exocuted and wait we are now saving people!!! When did this level become so interesting.

In short this level is good and bad at the same time. Where it lacks in visuals it makes up for in ideas. I say ideas because even though the ideas in this level are nothing sort of brilliant they aren't always delivered to the best of there abilities. Certain parts such as the mortal combat boss battle can benifit from being a little longer. The sackbot AI is very good but needs the proper surroundings to truly imbrace the levels epicness.

I started this level so hyped to kick the Aliens off this planet but your only really start doing that from after the water extractor. The water extractor just felt a bit like filler. I honestly feel that with a thew changes, some minor some major. This level will truly be a heavy contender for a team pick but that is a long way away from where it is now.

To all those thinking of playing this level. Finish it because the final part is honestly the best part and if I had to describe it in 3 ways it is epic but frustrating

I already gave your level feedback, but thanks for the review. I'll admit that the cave scene was a bit off topic. For the attract-o-gel race, you could skip it because a few people were complaining on how hard that part was. I did have the most fun making the boss fight, though. You're the first one who mentioned how epic it was.

I realized that after I reviewed this and face palmed but I tend to leave the same ending to all my F4F reviews. I personally I like the level and think it got a lot of protential, I think you should go for a more steam punk setting with the cave and with the section at the end where all the sackbots attack it would probably be better if they couldn't change layer and have gaps in the back wall. I would honestly say if you perfect all the ideas in this level, it could easily become one of my favourites.

Sorry but I couldn't resist the urge of punching a wall while playing this level. Some parts did get a bit frustrating mostly because you needed a bit of luck to pass some parts. Like the part where you're destroying this huge wheel that stops every so often to shoot a huge beam at your face. You just have to be so lucky to avoid that first laser but you need even bigger luck to avoid the SECOND one it shoots. All while you try to smash it's two brains. I would really consider making that bit easier by making stop for a while longer and then shooting.

It's really hard to pull off a boss battle with sackbots, mostly because they end up spawn trapping you. Which was the case for me. Don't get me wrong, i loved the battle with the music that gets you all pumped to slay some alien ninjas while avoiding their beams and such but it gets ridiculous when you can't even get out of the spawn point safely before you get blasted in the face. Try relocating the spawn point to somewhere safer, far from the ninjas range.

Like Jonarrthan said, the scenery was lovely at the intro but then you end up in this cave like place? Like what happened? Try using the same material you used as the exterior of the place. Then we got into the ship and it became lovely again, saving citizens 'n stuff. The boss boss battle (the second one) was simply amazing. I was so pumped to kick his behind and save the planet! Overall a nice but frustrating level. (:

Hmm, you're the first one who complained about the wheel thingy. All you had to do is grapple away from the first one and the second beam was very easy to dodge. Or, you could get on top of it so it couldn't emit the first beam. And for the 1st boss, you shouldn't get spawn trapped because i set the bounce pad to activate when you press X. If that is the part I am thinking of near the start of the game. The probably reason not one mentioned it is because most of us just didn't active the fight, we just stayed back and shot it from a distance. I forgot to mention that glitch

google defines it as a genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery rather than advanced technology. It is a bit of a mix between futuristic and victorian which looks odd but has it's merits
