I'd love top get a review of this one.

https://lbp.me/v/kvyrny

I recommend on easy, since everyone complains about the difficulty. I am working on a prequel/tutorial level, so any advice to help improve future installments would be greatly appreciated.

Story: I really liked the story, I hope you expand on the lore of the ghosts soon. I also hope there are different ghosts, and you make some of the ghosts look different. Right now they all are a bland orange color. I also hope you talk about these pylons, and why they keep you safe, and if ghosts are a common thing in this world. I just hope you answer questions like setting, time, place, and do world building later in the story.

Gameplay: While I really liked the story, the gameplay was lacking. It's a bit bland so far. I played it on easy first, but there wasn't much gameplay except moving around. I then tried it on normal, and it was too hard for me. It's not the ghosts itself, it's the speed of the gun. It like fires one bullet every five seconds, instead of using the slow speed of the gun to make you scared of dying, add an ammo limit, so you have to collect ammo. I do like how you used sound to found out where the ghosts are, but perhaps you can add some visual cues just in case(blood, footsteps etc). Perhaps in later installments of the series, you can add different weapons to defeat certain ghosts, weapon upgrades, armor upgrades, and stuff. Maybe you can even add a controlling ghosts option.

Look: It was really atmospheric, and sometimes I even got a little scared.

Conclusion: I think this is a great start to a series. I really hope you make more.

It's part of a series, so if you like it, I might ask for reviews of further parts.

Thank you for the review. These are all great to hear about, and in fact several of them I am actively working to fix for the tutorial/prequel. Some are new things I haven't heard about, which is good. Getting different or limited ammunition is a good idea, but in this case it would interfere with the story as would be explained in future installments. Judging by this reaction, I think I may slip hints of this information into the tutorial.

I appreciate your critiques! Thanks!

It's part of a series, so if you like it, I might ask for reviews of further parts.

Story: I like the story so far, are you going to explain later on how the sackbots toke over, and what happened in the past that made sackbots develop their own free will? Also once LBP3 comes out, will all sackbots be waterproof? I'm not sure if I saw the whole thing, since all I saw was rain, after the sacks toke the water-proof sackbot.

Gameplay: It's a movie, so there isn't any.

Look: I liked the look of the level, it did look quite sc-fi. The sacks did look like they lived in the forest, but perhaps you can perhaps give those costumes more detail, they looked like very lazily made costumes.

Sound: The voice acting was good, I was actually about to laugh hearing the sackbots voice acting, they definitely do sound robotic. Also in the subtitles, the word grapes was censored.

Conclusion: A nice start to a series, and was very funny.

I can critique game play better than stories, so if you want me to do part 1, I can probably do a longer review about that.

I tried to play part 1, but I'm stuck on the very first part, perhaps you can add button prompts, and it's so dark, so I don't know where to go. I tried grabbing everything.

Very nice review.

I'll request Part 1 right now, but there's no rush to do it. It's rather long, and I think it's a little presumptuous to ask for reviews so quickly in succession. Here it is, do it whenever you please:

Nah it's fine I like giving feedback, I'll get to your level soon.

Sackdroid Part 1- The Train Crash

Story: I thought it was rather good, funny just like the intro.

Gameplay: Well it was mainly going to doors and collecting items, and it did get quite tedious. I do suggest you label the doors, because I got confused again and again. This was lamp shaded in a cut scene, but I still think you should probably label the doors, and perhaps add a map showing what room you are in.
Also there are so many gameplay objectives, I feel there should be a journal to remind you of the latest gameplay objectives in case you forget. Again this was lampshaded in that same cut scene, but for people with bad attention spans like me, they need something to remind them of their objectives. I mean it wouldn't give away the solution, it would just tell you what you're supposed to be doing, not how.
If you have DC pack, I suggest you update it with the memorizer, because I replayed the elevator section again and again, until I just skipped to the last chapter. I think there should be a hint system if PJ has to undo alot. Doing the same things again and again soon got annoying. I don't think the level had too many cutscenes, I just think that it was very tedious at times, because you wanted to see the story. I think there should probably be more variety in the gameplay. Perhaps you can add minigames, a karma system, optional conversations (activated by pressing triangle or some button)

There are also lots of bugs. Bit gets on the roof a lot, like if you go to the place where you can go in the trash chute, if you press triangle again or go to another door, you can get on the roof, and Bit can sometimes die by getting stuck to an object. Bit gets stuck if you move the elevator wrong. I realize you know this, because you made it so you had to hold L2 to respawn. But also add an inverted tag sensor when Bit dies, and a tag sensor on the roof that automatically teleports Bit back. As a joke, maybe you can say something like "You can't use a material tweaker to make a sackbot indesturctiable."

Look: I like the look, I think it helps tell the story a lot better. The technology like the LBP1 grab sensors show that the sacks aren't as advanced as the sackbots. Just label those doors.

Sound: I thought the voice acting was very good, but a lot of PJ's voice acting got cut off.

Conclusion: Even though I put a lot of complaints, I really liked this level. I always wanted to make a level where you can make different choices in conversations, and somewhat impact the story. Even though I did get annoyed by the gameplay, it did give me some Ah-ha moments when I finally figured something out. I think your level series could get picked if you improve gameplay and perhaps add more variety, and fix some of those bugs.

Kingdom of ice-olation
Story-None, a platformer
Gameplay: I like the ideas you put in this level, but those of those ideas weren't handled the best. The freezing mechanic to me turned out to be more of a pain since I kept on freezing, I think you should add more fires to regain the bar. Also the follower for it got annoying, because it kept switching players. Just change it to "Lead" so only the host can use it. I also thought level design was unclear, because a lot of times i did not know what to do except shoot some random ice objects. You should probably put more visual cues like stickers or making the ice look cracked, hints for the player to figure it out. I did like destroying the ice though, it was immensely satisfying to me. I also spotted a bug so I was unable to finish the level After the part where a fireplace is right after the checkpoint, and there are purple sponges to swing on. I shot fire after swung off the purple sponge and this happened.

I tried swimming more, but the freezing mechanic kept killing me and that got annoying.

Look: It looked nice, it did fit the mood, you can add a little more detail, but I liked the overall design.

Conclusion: While I was unable to finish it due to a bug, I think you have great potential, keep it up! I just overall suggest, you fix some of the gameplay, and give more hints on where to go. I'll probably try it again soon.

Wow you are probably the most punctual reviewer there is.

I will not deny SackDroid - Part 1 has its flaws. However, I will attest that SackDroid - Part 2 is much, much better (and harder). Here it is:

That is odd. as soon as i figure out how to duplicate the glitch and i will get this sorted. I should have probably mentioned the level is for 1 player only. which fire place was this the 2nd or 3rd?2014-08-20 20:16:00

I think it was the second. I'm not sure, all I remember it was after part where you knock down purple sponges.

Kingdom of ice-olation Re-review
Story-N/A
Gameplay: It was good, and was used in some very creative ways. There was this one bounce pad section that was slightly annoying, but I managed to reach the next checkpoint. All bugs seem to be fixed.

Look: It was nice, and read my old review for the details. The place where you go to the scoreboard looked amazing. which is in the image below.
http://i2.lbp.me/img/ft/592cb303ac7f35f84c3bba4abdc3a3207c5dd8a0.jpg

Conclusion: I am pleased to say that kingdom of ice-olation is a very clever platformer fitting of its name. It is very good. You can look at the first review for more details.

Sackdroid Part 2

After many puzzles and lots of thinking I have finally finished the level!

Story: It's getting pretty epic. I like how you play as PJ. I like him better than Bit, since Bits has no personality, because he's supposed to be you.

Gameplay: The level design is a lot better, and less doors, and I like how overall the level wasn't as big. I managed to figure out all the puzzles myself, unlike the last one, but I spent hours figuring out how to do things. I think you should add maybe 2 modes, one that gives you hints- easy, and one that doesn't hard. Since I spent a lot time trying to figure out the junkyard puzzles(I got stuck in the wreckage a lot, and it got frustrating to get the grabinators again and again), and the box puzzle(. Was that a metal gear solid reference?) I failed the box thing many times, before figuring how to do it, but I got sick of listening to the people talking while waiting until they were finally done eating! I admit the first three times, they were highly amusing, but then I read the same dialog, again and again. Even though I was really frustrated, I was really satisfied when I finally figured something out. It was overall good gameplay with nice puzzles. I like the save system, but I think there should be save points within the level itself, since some are really long puzzles, and you might forget.

Look: Looks good overall, scenery in levels could always use a little more details.

Sound: The voice acting was good and well-delivered. PJ's acting was funny and not cut off unlike the last one.

Conclusion: Sackdroid part 2 is a much improved sequel. All I suggest, you add some mini-save points within the level, and perhaps a hint system.

Tilt Matters-Review
Story-N/A

Look- Kind of looks too much like those old LBP1 minigames in the story, I know this is an LBP1 level, but you can try giving it more of a distinctive look.

Gameplay- The switch shouldn't be that hard to reach, just put it on the floor, so players can start the minigame fast. Players shouldn't have to be frustrated before the minigame itself even starts. Also the first time, the minigame started, the second a projectile came, I died immediately. You should probably add a game camera, so players can see the projectiles coming at them, right now players have very little time to get away from the projectiles, if the players can see the projectile coming before it hits the ground, they can react better.

Conclusion: Tilt Matters is a good idea, but with flawed execution, the switch should be easier to access, and there should be a game camera, so you can see the projectiles coming at you.

Logic Tutorial :The basics

Story: N/A
Look: It wasn't very detailed, due to it mainly being a tutorial with notes.
Tutorials: This is good if you need an introduction to logic, maybe you should have been more clear with the direction splitter and direction combiner, like you can say how positive is right and up, and negative is left and down. You can also give some examples on what you can use these tools for. You can say something like " A selector can be used for things like a main menu."

Conclusion: It's a good logic tutorial for anyone who wants to learn.

When Aliens Attack by KingCo09
Story- It's okay, I don't really think its anything special. It's your defeat the aliens story. I don't know anything about what these aliens are, and the aliens you kill on the ship all look like sacks. It didn't really catch my interest.

Gameplay: It's hard, I managed to get though most of the sections, but the race part was too hard for me, and I think it needs more checkpoints. I realize you are trying to make this into a hard level, but because of the checkpoints, I easily lost five minutes of progress each time. You did make some of the attraco gel sections fun, I did like shooting an enemy while hanging from a wall. One of the checkpoints had a visible anti-gravity tweaker, so you might want to make it invisible later.

Look: The opening cutscene spaceship looks pretty good, but the trees are just sticks with perfectly round circles. You might want to add more detail for the trees. The level itself does not look like a spaceship, it's full of lava, so i did not get the mood that this was a sc-fi level. It also isn't very detailed, and the background template shows during the race part. It looks like a bunch of attraco gel pieces thrown into places. Try to make it seem more naturally placed.

Conclusion: When Aliens Attack is a good level from what I've played of it, but it could use more detail, and more checkpoints during the race part.

Well, for the attract-o-gel bit it was supposed to be all over the place because you blew up that big generator (there was a broken pipe). However, I kind of did get off theme at times, I wanted to recreate the Bowser chase on New Super Mario Bros. Wii lol. Details were kind of hard to add because the thermometer was full, but yeah, I made this level a long time ago. I let my imagination get the best of me. The race wasn't hard for me (i guess its just me lol), and I thought the boss fight and the chase were more of the highlights of the level than the attract-o-gel bit :/. I'll make sure to change the level around a bit.

thanks for the review!

How about reviewing one of the CC2 levels. You don't need to play all six. Just pick one with the Hub-Entrance you like the best!
https://lbp.me/v/k7f-4x

There are six levels. In order they are...
1. Hero Academy (The longest and oldest. Also very difficult with cheap obstacles.)
2. VR Virus (IMO one of the best. Good length with an interesting boss, and not too hard.)
3. Miserable Mire (An OK level with dicey obstacles and a cool, but difficult, boss.)
4. Scorpion Valley (Arguably the weakest in the set. A level made without a plan, and the boss is pretty hard.)
5. Deep Ocean (Arguably the best. Good length, good obstacles, a good boss.)
6. Lost Paradise (A good level with grappling hook / attract-o-tweak gameplay, and the final boss.)

I'm also working on a level that will go after Deep Ocean and before Lost Paradise called Pirate Storm. The hub entrance exists, but the level is still in progress.
