Take a look at this intresting LBP concept art

Archive: 7 posts

Idk where this would go, so I put it under here. :| Anyway, I am gonna edit to this thread as I find intresting concepts. So here's the first:

This is the pod in LBP 1. But look to the left. That's right, the info moon was originally the info fridge. I could see why they changed it though. It doesn't fit the space-ish theme the pod is supposed to have.

here's the second:

I REALLY like that poppit design. I also like the score bubbles.

the 3rd,

This could either suggest that prize bubbles were originally eggs, or you would find bonus eggs throughout levels that behaved like mystery bubbles in Sackboy's prehistoric moves.

the 4th,

Mama Xod's Matchmaking service. This could be an initial concept for the Dive In feature that would take you to a waiting room. Then a pod would fly in & you could jump in it to play with another player. (and an interesting note, Mama Xod is the username of the sackperson in the Leerdamer update video)

the 5th,

This looks like a concept for LBP vita to me. That or originally story mode would have it's own earth like lbp vita/karting

& the final one for now,

This could mean that originally you could create in your pod (hence the star with the Danke sticker) thus creating in your pod being a leftover & not a normal glitch.

Nice thread. I like that you can tell the stages of building that they were at. I kinda wish they had kept the old bubble design. It looked a lot cooler.2014-08-22 06:33:00

I agree about the Popit design, I've always loved it's appearance during development in comparison to the final product. A lot of elements from LBP's concept art seem more bubbly and light-hearted than the final product. I definitely wish LBP2's tone wasn't as serious as it was... and that waiting room sounds like a cool idea.2014-08-27 08:21:00

Yep! LittleBigPlanet 2 had lots of possibilities for what you could create, but the story didn't really fit for a game like LBP...
