Problem loading user profiles?
Archive: 14 posts
Everytime I try to click on someones profile, I get an error like this: Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 77824 bytes) in /home/lbpcentr/public_html/forums/includes/functions_editor.php on line 280 Is this just me? I tried testing it on another vbulletin forum, and it worked there... So, yeah, anyone else have this problem or a possible cause or yeah? | 2009-02-21 19:14:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Lol No, it is not just you | 2009-02-21 19:16:00 Author: Takelow Posts: 1355 |
the cause is from people not deleting visitor messages. combined everyones messages have maxed out the size allotted. the database doesnt have the correct permissions to let it overwrite the defined value for size so it executes the error. looking into to it now. | 2009-02-21 19:18:00 Author: EvilTikiGod Posts: 159 |

Ah, great, all those random visitor messages WEREN'T infinite?! ... pssh, may I suggest deleting people like Clank and Marino's since they're never coming back but have a ton anyway . >_> Yeah :/ that COULD help... | 2009-02-21 19:19:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Yeah that does make a lot of since to delete them if they are never coming back, but I will definitely go and delete mine cuz i do have a lot, I didnt know that there was a certain amount that the site could handle....lol hopefully everyone can get back to their profiles soon and we can all delete some visitor messages..... | 2009-02-21 19:23:00 Author: Lil-Pingin Posts: 396 |
I think old visitor messages (more than 4 or 6 month for exemple) could be automatically deleted by the site. Is this possible? | 2009-02-21 19:25:00 Author: Takelow Posts: 1355 |
the host updated php and i think it put some limits on things still working on it blogs are broken as well its come from the host updating their version of php... there are probably going to be a few things on here that no longer work since most things were designed using older versions | 2009-02-21 19:28:00 Author: EvilTikiGod Posts: 159 |

Works for me again | 2009-02-21 19:40:00 Author: oldage Posts: 2824 |
It's been fixed temporarily. The host has only allocated a certain amount of space to php files, and I had to "fool" the config.php into thinking the size was larger. It's a temporary fix, but it should work until we can get the host to fix it on their end. | 2009-02-21 19:41:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |

Just wanted to say thanks guys, glad yal was able to get it back up and running even if it is just a temporary fix, hopefully it wont take too long to get it fixed for good. Do we need to go in and delete things from our profiles? I noticed that when they were down every profile I clicked on showed a different error?..... | 2009-02-21 20:03:00 Author: Lil-Pingin Posts: 396 |
