Mini Packs?

Archive: 9 posts

I am planning to buy some more DLC before LBP3. I know that there is a bunch of mini packs, but is it worth the money? What is the best mini pack?2014-08-15 07:48:00

Honestly. I bought the Nightmare before christmas, History and monsters mini pack, I fairly rarely use them especially the nightmare before christmas pack as I never make levels in which they will be useful. However I seen multiple examples where people who have used these packs have upped the quaility of their levels unbelievibly, using these packs. My advice if you think you will make a level which uses themes found in the pack it is worth it if not doing bother. Then again the music found in monsters is weird but vvery good for a platforming level aand the music found in history pack is outstanding for almost any serious "exploring a" level . I don't recommend the music pack unless you honestly can use the music found. TBH I only really bought it because I thought it was the PSP music.2014-08-16 12:10:00

if you have a Move controller, definitely the Move pack. Great materials, objects, stickers and new tools. Plus, it has some of the most fun levels to be found.
The Muppets level kit -- Fun levels! Great objects and stickers, materials etc.
DC Comics is a great pack as well. I personally loved the levels, plus you get wall jump and hero cape! Fantastic new materials and objects.
I also liked the Toy Story level pack. Cool materials, objects and stickers. Fun levels to play too.

I've always gotten any DLC that comes with more stickers, objects, create tools, or materials because with more stuff, the more options you have in your creations.

I also recommend the above, Didn't realize they were mini packs I thought they were premium level kits. Move is worth getting even with the move controller as the sticker panal is so usefull

I agree with the 2 above posts. Move is definitely the most useful DLC you could buy. The materials alone are worth your money. I use Sticker Panel excessively and is usually one of the core materials of my level. Also, it never hurts to add move support to you levels.2014-08-17 04:20:00

Oh this must have been a mistake. I was referring to actual "mini-packs" not Premium Level Packs. I already have all listed level-packs. I am wondering is it's worth buying the mini-packs?2014-08-17 13:17:00

Ah. I apologize. From the available mini-packs I would pick the Motorstorm: Apocalypse with 2 costumes and 22 stickers, InFamous 2 with 2 costumes and 20 stickers and finally Nathan Drake with 1 costume and 13 stickers. Note these are simply because they have useful stickers and costume pieces and plenty of them, with some like for the franchises themselves. But it's up to you, most stickers are relevant only to the game with logos and such but costumes can be recycled and used to create some good stuff.

If the Verabee sticker kit is classed as a "Mini-pack" then I'd pick that up, it has really nice foliage.2014-08-18 01:30:00
