Does wired or wireless take up more thermo?

Archive: 5 posts

Hey gais.
So I just published this new level (Paintballin', too lazy to get level link) and I never playtested it in online multiplayer.
A group joins me though, and I get my chance.
Problem 1: I'm sliding my feet. Not walking. Sliding.
Problem 2: This is with only one other player.

So, I'm gonna try to do some optimization. First, do wired connections take up more thermo than wireless connections?

(also does anyone have tips on optimization?)

and as for optimization here is the previous thread

Hope this helps

I would probably say wired, Where ever you can re use logic instead of adding new ones every time. however Wireless can be put into emitters which then decrease Thermo by a lot. For example my last level https://lbp.me/v/qscd4e8 uses emitters wastely with 14 emmits it allows for about 3 thermos worth of level to be put into it however this can cause serious lag and a freezing2014-08-13 21:32:00

Exactly what Jonarrthan has wrote. My opinion is wired logic does take up more thermometer than wireless logic does. The wires from the logic increase the thermometer, as well as cause some latency and frame rate (depending on how much logic there is) issues when in multiplayer create mode and play mode varies. Also like the above, emitting logic when needed and then deleting itself when it's finished would decrease the thermometer.

Here, I will clear the air

Wires only add thermo in create, because of pathing RAM, but wireless takes more thermo all the time because labels add lots of thermo, depending on the amounts of wires you wish to make wireless, but wires have no thermo when not viewing them

and for latency, tag sensors sometimes cause latency, because of the logic tree, but direct wiring is one of the ways to avoid that because direct wiring can never add latency unless you force it into recursion, like looping through a microchip, or looping in a gate for arithmatic

so in short

wired is less thermo, unless you have alot of emited logic

and wired has less latency issues in comparison to wireless, but both can have latency
