Wow

Just saw Robin Williams had died.

A tremendous actor, amazing comedian.
I watched him as a young comedian and laughted so hard I cried.
I've enjoyed his movies too.

RIP

What were your favorite movies of his?

...and there goes my childhood. He was simply irreplaceable as a comedic figure. So I guess this will be his last movie now; I suggest everyone go see it if they want a mere taster of this man's genius.

The world has been really cruel on actors this past year.

One of my childhood heros..

The Dead Poets Society still is one of my favorite movies, Man did he know how to act. I'm going to miss him. Even if I didn't know him personally he still made me laugh and made me feel like we were friends. He is going to be with the real stars now.

He was truly a treasure and one of a kind. I was looking at his IMDb profile so I could list my favorites.

I loved Mork and Mindy when I was young, my gran used to make me watch reruns of it

Later on I grew to love Robin for films like Jumanji and Mrs Doubtfire - Hook remains one of my favourite films from my childhood, and I love to see my daughter watching it too

When he went on his more serious streak, I adored him in Dead Poets, What dreams may come and (to a less serious extent) Patch Adams - boy, turns out that guy could make me cry laughing and just outright cry.

Such a legend, he'll be sorely missed

I only watched "The Butler" two days ago. When I first saw this story (elsewhere) it took me 10 minutes to realise it isn't one of them fake news stories with the automated text.

I must of only have been three-four the last time I saw Mrs. Doubtfire, but I remember him fondly in Night at the museum, Good Will Hunting and Good Morning Vietnam. His on-screen presence made an impact on multiple generations and he will surely be missed.

A stoke of irony is that my mum told me it was only last night (in the UK - must have been less than an hour before the news broke) that she watched an episode of family guy where the entire town turns into Robin Williams.

I'm more sad about this death than any other death outside my family. HUGE influence on my childhood. Taught me to value quick wit and agile improvisational comedy.

I memorized entire sets from his Live at the Met show and I never missed an episode of Mork and Mindy. I've got all his monolgues from Good Morning Vietnam in my head too...

I just don't have the words to express how sad his passing is, and how he passed as well. Just heartbreaking.

Ya it was on TV when my boyfriend came in to tell me the news... creepy timing.

Flubber! Flubber! Everyone's forgotten about Flubber. I forgot about Flubber!

I never realised his passing would be this saddening to me. I don't if it's because It's brought back childhood memories or because he was such a happy and comedic person.

A couple favourite movies of mine that no one's mentioned yet, Jack and Bicentennial Man. Both amazing movies.
His death is so sad. I didn't even believe it at first! I had to look it up just to check, because I heard it off of Facebook.
It's so weird, he was so young too.

That is such a sad news to hear yesterday. Robin was a great actor and comedian who made the world smile. Some great movies he stared in I can think of right now are "Ferngully: The Last Rainforest", "Aladdin", "Happy Feet", "Jumanji", "Good Morning Vietnam", and "Hook". He will be missed.

I did a sketch of Genie on both DeviantArt and Instagram:

I just don't understand those people, hopefully the wall of fans will be so large, they can't get anywhere near.
I think the families right to privacy far outweighs that "churches" right to picket.

Someone on my Facebook posted something like "Who's Robin Williams, that *** singer right?" and I had to comment on it (I wasn't the first) - a lot of young people are also touched by his death, which is surprising. I was never a big fan but it does hit home.

Man, I was shocked, sad, depressed to hear about Robin Williams. My sister told me and I thought she made a mistake so I looked it up. I grew up in the nineties and watched all of Robin Williams and Jim Carey's movies. I watched Jumanji probably 10 times as a kid. Just really sad. I know RV isn't one of his best movies, but I have to give a shout out to that because nobody has mentioned it. I enjoyed the movie for what it was.

The day before he died, I was watching this interview. I was cracking up. I watched it again after he died thinking I would just be depressed watching it. I cracked up again. It's funny.
