Controllinator Question

Archive: 9 posts

I want to place a controlinator so that when players get in, they're on their backs with their feet coming towards the tv screen (basically, I want to place it on the back side of a block of material. Is this possible? I feel like I've seen it in levels before, but I have no idea how it could be done.

Edit: Nevermind, figured it out!

How did you manage that? I can't think of a way off the top of my head.2014-08-11 23:54:00

You just place it on the floor I think and rotate it 180 degrees2014-08-11 23:59:00

I have this old object from a friend (originally made by glitchmazter7) that allows you to rotate any object around the y-axis rather than just the z. It's a glitched Close-Level Post that's lying on the ground with the stop sign facing away from the screen, and when you grab it and another object to resize, it rotates the object.2014-08-12 03:47:00

fyi, its the z axis that is the 3d, and to make it you use an lbp1 jetpack, im not sure on the details, I would look up a tutorial on glitchmasters youtube account2014-08-12 04:08:00

The tutorial in my signature has some links for that glitch. But I think the OP is just talking about the controlinator option to get a hanging sackboy in stead of a sitting one (the Side-Mounted option).2014-08-12 09:59:00

You cannot place a controlinator (or anything) on the back of any material. The material doesn't have a back!

The glitch that rotates things only gives the illusion that it's rotating - the material's collision box (the thing that the controlinator is attached to) is not rotated.

No, material does have a back, it's just the Mm objects that often don't have backs. And AFAIK it is still possible to view the back of a material and place logic there, so I assume a controlinator would work as well. But like I said before, I don't think that's what the OP wanted.2014-08-12 19:45:00

I still don't understand why you would need to do that with a controllinator and why you can't just place it on the floor?2014-08-12 22:11:00
