Applecarver Island: Fiery Descent.

This level takes place in the middle of the storyline. I just started working on it early, since I had the inspiration at the time. It's still a work in progress, so let me know what you think of it so far. I may add more to it, but the right inspiration or ideas have yet to hit me. A bit short, but like you said it is a work in progress and i really like the idea of the fiery wheel. My only few problems were that: 1) There was a bit too much fire and so i wasn't exactly sure what i was trying to do or where to go sometimes 2) The wheel got a bit repetitive at times when you just had to roll it straight (maybe add some more ramps or something, not sure what you want to do) I loved the ending where the wall is slowly crushing the wheel and overall it looks like it could become a good level. | 2009-02-21 20:25:00 Author: sharp357 Posts: 27 |

I agree on all points! I didnt fell like I was doing much by just rolling along. Once I got up I didnt realize at first what I was supposed to do, after a few deaths I just jumped out. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I'm planning on adding some story elements to the level, as opposed to just putting arrows, but I'm waiting until I get caught up with the rest of the levels before that. Unfortunately, I have seen this wheel before... (forget where) And I agree about too much fire. Maybe mix up some veins of non-burning dark material running through it... And what about finding other modes of transportation other than the wheel? | 2009-02-23 16:04:00 Author: dobi6 Posts: 359 |
