Symmetrical Stickering and Decorating?
Archive: 11 posts
Wouldn't it be nice if, when putting stickers and decorations on our character, we could switch between a mode that places them as normal, and one where if you, say, place a sticker on the left side of Sackboy's face, another will be placed in the corresponding position on the right. | 2014-08-09 04:58:00 Author: TeakettleWarrior Posts: 31 |
Yup that would be helpful indeed. I heard that the cell shading on ps4 will be off-the-charts compared to ps3 version and the previous games. If you don't know what this means, it means that sticker placement will be a lot easier to get small details in, and less sticker glitches will occur. | 2014-08-09 08:37:00 Author: XX_sonicfan_XX Posts: 265 |

Would be good except that sackboy isn't symmetrical. So that might mess with things a little bit. | 2014-08-09 09:28:00 Author: Tynz21 Posts: 544 |
Would be good except that sackboy isn't symmetrical. So that might mess with things a little bit. I was about to mention that, lol. Yes, that would be the caveat to the symmetry. However I can see it working on symmetrical materials and/or objects. | 2014-08-09 09:31:00 Author: MechanicOrga Posts: 86 |
Well Sackboy is very near symmetrical. Enough that this could be fairly useful... if implemented properly over his asymmetry. | 2014-08-09 18:00:00 Author: TeakettleWarrior Posts: 31 |
In that case, why not wish for a mirror tool/mode that can allow you to do this for basically anything after you choose the reflection point? | 2014-08-09 18:20:00 Author: Bryan_Zuckerberg Posts: 874 |
In that case, why not wish for a mirror tool/mode that can allow you to do this for basically anything after you choose the reflection point? Yes this would be great. We should also be able to move and rotate the reflection point as well. | 2014-08-09 18:28:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |
Yes this would be great. We should also be able to move and rotate the reflection point as well. And also use multiple. Like, say, reflect across two reflection axes. | 2014-08-09 18:31:00 Author: TeakettleWarrior Posts: 31 |
And also use multiple. Like, say, reflect across two reflection axes. Yeah, I imagine it would work as another tool in the tools bag and when you select it you place the reflection line over what it is you want to work with. You can adjust the area of what parts will be within the area of symmetry similar to how the capture tool works. As you're placing it you can snap it to grid or use angle snap with it. and you can place as many as you need (with a reasonable limit) | 2014-08-09 18:45:00 Author: Bladex61 Posts: 348 |
Sounds like a plan. | 2014-08-10 03:52:00 Author: Tynz21 Posts: 544 |
Well, sumo has most definitely consulted with people who create all the time (steve_big_guns is officially known) I doubt they will not add any new create things, this could definitely be added (reflection of objects/materials/stickers) | 2014-08-11 02:55:00 Author: amiel445566 Posts: 664 |
