We had Twitch plays Pok?mon. Now we have... FishPlaysPok?mon http://fi.twitch.tv/fishplayspokemon Hi everyone! Welcome to our stream where our fish, Grayson Hopper, plays a Pokemon game. Unfortunately, we don't have a dedicated light for Grayson at night as he lives in a tiny dorm room and we would rather not sleep with the light on. But in the future we will be getting him a dedicated lamp and improving the quality of the stream to include recent inputs determined by the motion tracking. Things can move a little slow, so another option we're considering is making the system distributed where we have a site where you can provide a fish stream link and we'll include it in the controlling. Also, Grayson will be moving in a few weeks and the stream may be down for a bit. We'll be taking this opportunity to add features and speed things up a bit. Current Progress Grayson has been playing for around 135 hours. Last time I checked, Grayson had acquired his first Pokemon, a charmander named AAAABBK and defeated his first opponent, the rival's squirtle! (Grayson has been playing since the very start and selected his own name from one of the preset ones!) FAQ Is the fish dead? No, the fish is not dead. He just sleeps sometimes. How long did this take to make? They built it in 24 hours Who made that cool channel art? Sundreamers on Reddit Why is there no sound? They didn't include any. Is the fish dead? Nope. Still just sleeping. What mad geniuses came up with this? Heh. I share a name with the fish and it's kinda surreal seeing people chant my name over and over in the twitch chat. Not saying I'd watch this other than to check in on highlights. This is probably the most boring stream ever.

I think it goes down during the night because they don't have a light for the tank (and I don't think the fish wants a light during the night time either.) EDIT: Correction! The fish tank is in a small dorm room, so they can't get a light for the tank until they move.

Grayson... may he rip in peaces. This is a perfect representation of what college student do on their spare time: a machine that uses the movements of a fish, not for evil purposes or for the fish's psychological inspection, but to make it play Pok?mon. EDIT: Or university students, whatever.
