Question for Sam: Jumping and fade

I just have a couple of questions i have plenty more, but i will leave it as this for now! My questions are: 1 Can Sackboy double-Jump and/or wall-jump? And if not could special moves like this be implemented some how as unlockables? (The wall juimp especially i would love to see) 2 Can 'walls' fade when a Sackboy either goes behind or near them? So for instance in one of the videos, there is a cave with a mouth as an opening, is it possible to 'cover' the side of teh cave so it is hidden until the Sackboy gets near/ in there. So it is like you going 'inside' the cave? Thanks for your time! And hello everyone I just joined a minute ago after browsing round for abit. I don't know if he'll answer any time soon so i'll give it a shot. 1. No. Not that i know of. I don't think having an unlockable like a double jump would work well at all in LBP. 2. You can do this using a trick. Say you are going to enter this cave with a wall on the outside... when you walk inside the entrance you could set a trigger to 'dissovle' (an LBP effect you can put on materials) the wall. Put in another switch/trigger, and you should be able to put another wall back in when the player reaches that switch/trigger. Set to dissolve and put it at the same place, and there you go. | 2008-08-21 12:15:00 Author: bbroman Posts: 1374 |
