Possibly a lot of new fans and old fans. An exact number? I can't exactly say. I really hope LBP gains numbers compared to past games though =)

Before we got ~300,000 unique players playing one level (turbo fighter), and with the new cross compatibility and moderately fresh release to next gen consoles, I am guessing north of 350K players within the first year

It depends on if it count's PS4/PS3 versions separately. I'd say 80,000 in total, split between the two consoles, but that's just a guess. Then maybe fluctuating between 30 and 40 thousand on each console, at any given time, approaching and surpassing Christmas.
