What is the Vault, above gallery but below the forum? I searched the forums but couldn't find anything on it, and there doesn't seem to be anything in the guide?

It used to be the location of the archive, where dead board went, but that was deleted. Now, it's the location of special boards... Boards for special groups, i.e. the Mod boards, the Community Showcase boards, ect. I think so, anyway... Not part of any of those groups, but I'm pretty sure those are all down there.

Thanks for the info. I figure I'll post this here, so as not to clutter: I received "Balanced Rep" So far I've only had "reputation_pos.gif" images next to my rep in my CP, but now I have a blue "reputation_balance.gif". Why is this? One positive and one negative? Wouldn't they show as separate?

Red is negative rep blue is someone giving rep with no rep power I think.

Rock is basically correct. It use to hold the Archives, basically threads that were old and permanently locked, but were still avalible for reference purposes. The information to find those threads somehow got lost in an upgrade of the site code, however. The other parts of the Vault are basically where we keep limited access forums, where only people with special clearance are allowed to go. Not just moderators, but regular users that work on the Spotlight team, for example, are given access to the respective areas. People new to the forums don't have any access to the Vault at all though. I'm not sure how it appears now, as I only use to see the Archives in there, and then was made moderator and given access to the other areas. :blush: They tend to be pretty quiet areas though, but the appropriate people can discuss things in the right areas away from public access. You aren't really missing much, as most discussion occurs on the public forums.

Thanks for the info, all of you. It makes sense to put it like that - it seemed odd to me because it appears as The Vault in a banner, then the closing part that would normally end the list of forums...so just an empty section.
