I have no idea what to call this idea but I like the idea so here

My idea is that there can be a option so a global tweaker can change the lighting on a player's screen but the other players won't see this global change on their screen.2014-08-04 17:08:00

Oh that would be really good for levels with different kinds of areas. Let's say we have a player in a field in one area which has clear daytime lighting, but if we're in a vs level and someone else goes to a snowy area, then it can be foggy there without messing up the lighting for the person in the field. This would be great. There was another thread talking about having weather in global effects and that along with this idea is just brilliant.2014-08-04 18:28:00

This would be useful, maybe an option in the Global Lighting tool to make changes specific to a area or player. I'd like the same with the global audio tool.2014-08-04 22:47:00

This would be very useful actually, I was creating a level recently that didn't have all players on the screen at once (so a versus level) and I had made it so different parts of the level had different sound atmospheres such as outside in the forest with rain and the sound of the background and then when you went underwater the sound went muffled. I also had caves which were quiet with a fair amount of reverb. So yes this would be awesome!!2014-08-04 23:02:00

Or a local lighting changer that just changed lighting in a resizable zone. That might be a bit more versatile, if also a bit more complicated.2014-08-06 08:53:00

What I do to emulate this kind of is to use gradients on sticker panel that is one thin layer extra in front of the level (3d) and I just change opacity to make it look how I want, then I use lights to finish up the effects

It wont work as well as a global tweaker as you stated, but it will get you a similar effect now

Yeah that's how I've gotten by too but it just really isn't the same as changing the global lighting. Plus having a lot of that in the level can cause lag.
