There are a lot of tunes I have listened to that I like on YouTube (such as Nintendo music, HomeStuck music, etc.). I've tried remaking several tunes, but (Please don't laugh) I find it difficult. Same story with trying to make original. Less complex music creating, please. How about working off a music sheet style? Much easier when trying to recreate an admirable piece. I know that will make my Sack person happy! Another idea (I highly doubt will happen), importing music from your playlist onto a sequencer. These are just my personal suggestions (requests, if you will).

I think having the option to choose the format of music making would be great. Having the choice between the Piano Roll like in LBP2 or being able to compose with digital sheet music would be very nice. I can see how it would get complicated for those who aren't normally involved with music which is why I think they should also keep the piano roll because that's more friendly to those who are new to composition. It's normal to have trouble re-creating a song by ear (Most people can't) It requires training to be able to develop your relative pitch to let you hear a song and be able to re-create it as you hear it. Some people have perfect pitch, others have to train their ear so it's nothing to feel bad about. If you can find MIDI's of the songs you want to re-create, you can use a free program to view the MIDI on a computer and recreate the notes you see on the sequencer. MIDI's work very similarly to how LBP music works. (I know some people recommend the program Anvil Studio and a great site to find video game MIDI's would be VGmusic) As for being able to import a song from a playlist, It wouldn't really work because the song you're thinking of it most likely in an mp3 format and I'm sure it would also bring up some copyright issues. But a good alternative to that could be allowing the import of MIDI files. I doubt it's a feature that would really be added but I think it would be cool. I hope what I said helps

I hope what I said helps I heard of a program that allows you to invert MIDI files into PDF files. I downloaded it, actually. I'll definitely look into that program.
