Minigame - Building Buildings (LBPC Survive This! Entrant + Mm Picks feature)

Archive: 4 posts

This is my entry into the Survive This! Competition, and has also been featured on the Mm Survival Challenge Picks. While not exactly a "survival challenge", as you can stay alive without earning any points. Anyway, this is lifted right off the Mm page:

This one was on our Hmmm list as it is not really a conventional Survival Challenge (as it's easy to stay alive by doing nothing) but we thought it was so ingenuous and original so we Picked it. The idea is that you are a crane operator and you are building a building. Your job is to drop the swinging buildings at the right time in order to stack them, topple the tower and it's all over.

That's one of the guys at Mm playing through.

Wow, you had a great idea! I tryied it, and it's very funny! The concept is awesome, and i think you made a great creation! This Survival shows the very realistich physich in LBP
I didn't understand very well how the machine goes up, but often the block appears wehn the machine in to low, it hurts the "tower" and the blocks fall down! If you make it goes up quickly, this level can be awesome!
5/5 stars and hearted!

Well, the machine goes up when the bottom of the swinging bit goes out the way of the blocks. This means that when a block is dropped, it leaves the area of the sensor, and the crane goes up. I have an idea about building something which controls the emitter of blocks, which right now goes every couple of seconds, which means if you go up 1.5 seconds through the cycle, the emitter activates in .5 seconds... I'll get on to it after the theatre . Thanks for the heart.2009-02-20 18:48:00
