I would your chances a 1. Because A) there are so few people picked that anyone has a low chance, B) I think the majority of the invites have already been sent. Except you've been in previous betas. If you've been a valuable contributor, that'll boost your chances greatly so I would go up to a 4 probably.

Yeah, Same thing happened to me on LBPC where I had one new notification. I was hyped that is until i got another award. I think that's the case. I think there's still hope for people to get invited. If not.. well in my opinion there has to be a second phase where at some point the beta will need a bigger amount of testers, but that's just me speculating.. Who knows. The possibilities are limitless. On the "bright" side. School, college and work are pretty close to start. That will definitely make time go faster. :kz:

From what I heard, you'll possibly get invited if you contributed in the beta - like giving feedback and bug reporting. If you recieved the bug blaster, it shows that you have contributed by bug reporting. I don't really know because these are the speculations.

They need to ask for some help or a good whack on the rear end for talking such nonsense. Sorry, but it isn't that big a deal to get in the Beta. So a hint... anyone tossing themselves on swords, off towers, into flaming moats of oil or lava, or a zillion other silly stupid and harmful things if they don't get an invite, will not be getting a beta invite.

Reading this thread is kinda hilarious. I mean yeah I'm sad about not getting an invite but I guarantee that nobody's going to kill themselves. You can't say there's no reason to get slightly upset though. HEAR ME OUT. 8/10 of my closest friends are going to be spending the rest of the summer (or some other length of time) playing a super secret game with each other. There hasn't been a game jam or any sort of announced features for the rest of us outside of the beta either so we're obviously going to be pretty jealous. The selection for the beta seems almost random too. I don't want to name any names at all, but [creator with 5 Team Picks] would probably have been one of my first choices if I were in charge (it's not me I only have 2 self-published levels). Even [friend] is in the beta, and we've been pretty much equal with everything across the board since 2008. Like... Eerily equal actually. We have the same rare DLC, each have a single team pick, we've co-hosted all the same events with each other, and we followed each other around from LBW to LBPC to Planetarium to Twitter. Hopefully I don't seem too whiny, it's just been bothering me a little bit. Even if I don't get in, I wanna wish good luck to the people invited. I know I'm going to be sending my "Thecxmen" glitched profile to some friends so that if there's profile importing, they can fool around with it. I know I'm a weeny, shut up yo. :blush:

Being not able to do something you really want to do stinks, but it shows the person cares and that's a good thing. There is nothing wrong with being human! But sometimes people do tend to umm turn up the volume to 11 (yeah lets go with that) which makes the whole frequency of the um.. "song" very different that turning the volume down will be more soothing. Just because some people prefer the volume to be at a reasonable setting, does not mean people won't hear you though! Keep submitting your #LBP3Wishes and showing your true LBP spirit and the volume will be loud in the best way possible. -hyper

The majority of crown owners got their crowns because they drew nice littlebigplanet pictures. That's all fine and dandy, but that does not make you a worthwhile addition to a private beta. As for school, I would say the majority of testers are either in college or older.

Ehh... not to sure about that. I bought LBP1, LBP2, LBPV, and LBPK the first they came out and even participated in the LBP2 BETA. With all that said, I say I've got little to no chance to get into the BETA because I don't post on LBPC that often. Hopefully it doesn't sound like I'm complaining because I'm totally fine with not getting in, its just that your statement doesn't work, since to be honest, no one cares how much money you've invested into the franchise.

Ehh... not to sure about that. I bought LBP1, LBP2, LBPV, and LBPK the first they came out and even participated in the LBP2 BETA. With all that said, I say I've got little to no chance to get into the BETA because I don't post on LBPC that often. Hopefully it doesn't sound like I'm complaining because I'm totally fine with not getting in, its just that your statement doesn't work, since to be honest, no one cares how much money you've invested into the franchise. I highly doubt that activity solely on LBPC is the only qualifier as they were giving out this announcement on LBN and LBF as well (If I'm recalling it correctly). I think a lot of people just came here because they were told it was happening here. I read a some news articles specifically stating LBPC. I know the announcement of the beta brought me out of my silence on this site. O: lol I think what I would look for IF I were the one picking people is that you have shown initiative in the past to squash bugs, and report them, or that you have invested time in the game to help make it a quality experience for all. I'm sure that having the right consoles might also contribute to qualifications. Also, EVERYONE should keep in mind that lbp3 might get the same treatment that LBP2 got where they opened up the beta to PlayStation Plus members... That's how I got in on the lbp2 and Karting betas. (I'm definitely not part of the LBP staff, so this is all just hope on my part.) And either way everyone will have a chance to play it once the game is released! Patience young Padawans..

I mean, over the last couple of days you have all put forward many cool discussions, from musical choices to content suggestions, which could be posted in other areas of the site where they would get more attention and you'd get to meet some great people with similar ideas. Especially due to the Music Sequencer, the majority of songs made were electronic in style (mainly due to the instruments being more orientated towards that style).

I'm not too concerned with making my levels bigger or longer, I'm more interested in being able to make my levels more densely packed with detail. The only level I've ever created and published had a complex bridge with a complex waterfall as the backdrop. This destroyed most of the geometry above and made certain portions disappear entirely.

Yea I've had quite a few unfortunate crashes and freezing while creating. Better stability is def one of my most important hopes for LBP3, all be it a "boring" one I wonder if the PS4 version could perhaps almost constantly quick-save, so if there is ever a crash it could attempt to restore you exactly where you were. Man that would actually be amazing!

So far LBP1 and LBP2 had different enemies lurking around each level. So I'm pretty sure LBP3 will have them cute evil creatures as well. What we really need is new tools to make enemies with. I think the whole 'jumping on the brain bubble' gets old after awhile and should have been left with LBP1. I want some good squashing effects and finally the ability to hit. I actually dreamed last night that I got into the beta and played as Swoop and Oddsock, and that both of them had a kicking action to fight off bad guys while progressing through the level. I have the strangest most specific dreams Wanna hear strange specific dreams? A week or so before I joined this forum (let alone knew about it). I dreamed about reading a post where people where hyped about cross-save between the PS4 and PS3 version XD On Topic: Hopefully there will be/is little to no bugs to find for this game ;] Although it's funny how bugs can appear the least you expect them. One time I was playing GTA5 and I was trying to enter one of the none enterable police stations (just for fun). Suddenly I found myself falling through the map, and thankfully my character didn't die.

Seems like there are 2 types of individuals on this site... The ones that are more rule-oriented and like everything to be clean cut, and the more free spirited ones who don't care if a thread gets a little messy. I personally enjoy on-topic and off-topic conversation because it's always about LBP regardless, and we sort of bond over it. But everyone already knew that from my rant a couple weeks ago. I suppose it'd make logical sense to keep threads clean and focused so newcomers and returning members can get up-to-date, but doesn't the OP typically edit all new data in his post anyways? Ehh, that's my theory.

The game is advertised as being able to play lbp2 levels, meaning everything that could be in a lbp2 level will have to be in lbp3. It's just a hop, skip and a jump from there to transferring dlc to lbp3 even on ps4

You should also get materials, items, stickers/decorations, SFXs, gadgets, level packs and everything what you got in LBP2. Since the beta has arrived, it should test it cross-save capabilities like how LBP2 beta is.

In the trailer you can see the Delsin Rowe costume, so I think you will be able to I have almost all the lbp2 dlc costumes including delsin rowe so I think DLC's will transferred idk about the others for non dlc - - - - - - - - - - wait isn't this the week when the invites are sent or next week?

I'm kind of wishing they just give us LBP1 and LBP2 story unlocked materials and such by default, without having to transfer info from those games. Seems like it would take some of the tedium out of it, and allow everyone to have at least basic materials to play with.

And i don't have LBP1 stuff And i'm worried i'm not getting them again And if that happened i would be really happy

I have no idea how they'd handle the transferring of that into the PS4 version... beyond cloud saves, but they can't rely on everyone using that. As for DLC, of course it'd be cross compatible. They want to still sell all that DLC to LBP3 players. That's the whole reason the game is backwards compatible with LBP and LBP2

Yea as far as I know the cloud saves are a PS Plus feature. And the thing that sucks about porting profiles in LBP2 is you can no longer earn trophies, if you are into that kind of thing. If you are serious about creating in this LBP though, I would look into getting a cloud save. Especially if it makes an easy port to the PS4 version.

Yea as far as I know the cloud saves are a PS Plus feature. Cloud back-ups are PS+ using the cloud for a cross save aren't.

Since LBP3 is going to share the same server as LBP1 & LBP2, there could be cross-save through the server. Now this could defeat the PS+ cloud storage abilities, and it sort of what GTA Online does. What I'm thinking of is that there's a patch for LBP2 which you export your profile to the servers. It goes from Settings>Profile>Cross-Save and you export your profile from there. On LBP3, there's a optionwhere it says 'Import Objects Collected in LittleBigPlanet™ 2'. After you downloaded your profile, The save that is stored on the server will get deleted to tidy things up.

Honestly, cloud or no, I can't imagine any reason why they wouldn't allow importing older profiles into the new game because building on materials and objects is a must for this community. Don't forget you can also back up your profile on to a usb, I bet there will be something to do with that.
