LBP2 vs LBP Vita: Which had the better DC Comics levels?
Archive: 8 posts
So I played through both after buying the DC season pass and overall I'd have to say the Vita level pack is much better than the LBP2 one with the exception of the final boss. The level design just seemed much more fun and incorporated the hero cape alot more, plus it just looked nicer and had that comic book look to it. Very enjoyable overall, while I feel the LBP2 pack was forgettable and I felt the levels were a bit halfassed. They just weren't nearly as well done and they didn't feel like real levels to me, more like filler to fit the DC brand somewhere. What does everyone else think about this? | 2014-07-28 06:20:00 Author: sackchief Posts: 12 |
That's good news for me to hear since I haven't played the vita version and I'm planning on getting later. To be quite honest the levels in the PS3 version really dissuaded me from buying the pack. It has great tools but nothing that can't be done without them. So I wasn't about to play "okay" levels again to get them. Now I'm really looking forward to it! | 2014-08-01 06:57:00 Author: koltonaugust Posts: 1382 |
You can purchase the DC Comics on the PS3 and get them on PS Vita, right? | 2014-09-18 13:31:00 Author: EleoMod Posts: 122 |
I absolutely hated the final Vita DC boss level, if anything looked halfassed it was that. Barely any grammar whatsoever, a completely separate design to the PS3 version and sections taken directly from the Gotham level; not to mention the final boss which is defeated by flying through four hoops. Four hoops. Then Lex Luthor's absolutely heartbreaking final line - "I can't believe you have defeated my marvellous mechanical creation", lack of full-stop entirely deliberate. Sorry if I come across as overly pedantic, that level just annoyed me to the point that I wanted to destroy it completely. | 2014-09-18 22:27:00 Author: The11thWheatley Posts: 230 |
just watched someone play the final level, and it was obviously rushed. | 2014-09-19 23:35:00 Author: XX_sonicfan_XX Posts: 265 |
Why do you need to ask this? LBP2's version had MUCH better levels. Vita was full of bugs, some even breaking, the levels were way too long and un-aceable and not to mention SUPER ugly. | 2014-09-20 11:40:00 Author: Woutery Posts: 793 |

LBP2's DC Comics Final Level was way too easy and simple as long as you knew when to press the X button, it was almost one entire level of QTEs. The Vita version used all of the new mechanics to their fullest. | 2014-09-21 14:01:00 Author: rarfi Posts: 18 |
