Site issues update

Greetings!

I think most of the issues are behind us now, but I do find a few threads that seem to not be able to get to the last page. I will leave this thread open so you can post your findings and keep my inbox more clear. lol

So to recap, it looks like the Database error issue is fixed now.

Another tidbit...

What happened... well, around 5pm EST, the site experienced a huge issue due to our web host provider having a terrible issue with their servers. That cascaded down to us and I first thought we had too many open DB connections and bounced the site.

The combination wasn't a good one as things were downright messed up. lol

I have been able to this morning rebuild tables and the like and hopefully all back to normal. I still know of one thread that will not cooperate and let me see the last page. Can't seem to find the table that controls that sort of thing... so any other issues you might find, please post here!

I think all vBulletin forums are struggling right now, because even the Insomniac Games forum is down right now.

More news... I think I have stuff stable for the most part. The threads missing the ending pages we have locked. I have researched the issue and found what I need to do, but that menu selection doesn't exist in my Maintenance panel. I am pretty sure I know why it happened and hopefully won't again. Let me know if you find any more.

Second issue I am not able to make changes to a few things in the Admin panel which is causing some folks to be denied access here and there. I have a ticket opened with our hosting company as I can't find anything on my end to explain it. I found something to try, but disliked the suggestion especially when it worked fine earlier.

I am going to take a long needed break.. 18 hours yesterday and on this since 6:30 am this morning and almost 2pm. This is worse than my normal job!!!!

Gonna assume this is the reason why I can't see a certain board in the vault so thanks for the update. But yeah, take a break. We would like our admin to be both healthy and relatively happy.

I also can't see one of the vault forums - may well be because it was deleted but if it is just another server thing then feel free to delete it anyway Can't trust myself with the ability to ban people here. Especially after I banned myself.		2014-07-28 10:20:00

well the following is no big problem for me and i should not rlly care, but i noticed this stuff:

my skunk bunny adventures 2 level went into the subfolder of cool levels as i made a new reply inside the thread. (which is normal)
than i left a reply in the temply of water pressure thread. (which is also in the cool level section) which pushed it upwards in the list of course.

i noticed:
(when you are at the normal level showcase not inside the folder) you saw skunk bunny adventures 2 as the last reply, but it's not. it should have been the water temple. i checked back but no new replies.

than i got a new reply in the skunk bunny thread and it should have been (seen from the normal level showcase section) seen as newest post but instead it changed to the water temple post. (i checked starting browser again also clearing cache, nothing worked)

now i deleted a old unnecessary post in my skunk bunny thread to test what would happen. instead of decreasing the number of posts it increased it from 24 to 25, also it pushed it now at the newest post visible (seen from the normal level showcase section) which makes me wonder if there something wrong with the coding? or is it related to the current issue?

PS: thanks for the great work with the forum, and keeping it intact!

EDIT2:
Now i see the water temple from the normal showcase section again, without an new reply inside of it.
And when go into the cool level sections the bunny thread is the first of the list atm. so it's still swapping it around on free will.		2014-07-28 11:35:00

FYI... all site issues should now be resolved. Except for an occasional slowness or strangeness under heavy loads, we should be good to go.

If you find anything else I have not corrected or do not know about, please let me know here. ...and no, not like for example that RAAWK is a bit strange, that is his own doing. 		2014-07-30 02:09:00

I will rerun that here in a bit. Our hosting company is having some major outages and I sure don't want to be running maintenance routines and them go down on me.

Let's let them stabilize first.

I think I've got another one, but this one's different from last time. I got a database error message when trying to load https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=90779-I-think-I-m-going-to-make-some-story-levels, and then when I checked later, it does load but this time the index (LBP3 Ideas and Projects) doesn't show the last reply (index says Laxen333 an hour ago, thread has Jonarrthan 31 minutes ago).

Also, he double posted, so he may have had a database error himself.		2014-08-18 12:58:00
