Anyone know if its required to have 4 people play? Lets say i had 1 or 2 friends over. will we be able to play a game with 2 or 3 people. Or like be able to create a level which allows you to have 2 or 3 people?

Or like be able to create a level which allows you to have 2 or 3 people? Probably, but there might be some levels where you need 3 or 4 people to complete it. Maybe when you are sharing maps, you can add the minimum amount of people required.

And it might also get a little crowded. Edit: But what do you mean that the max is 8? Do you mean on one console?

Yeah the playstation 3 can have up to 8 controllers linked to each console. But i tihnk some of the slots aren't meant for the playstation 3 controller, because my ps3 blu ray remote is automatically slotted to slot 7 when i activate it.

yea good point, but I think you can turn the remote off in the settings to free up slots and the controllers can take em.

Yeah you don't have to turn the blu ray remote on when you turn it on. I only use the remote when I watch a dvd or somethin, but it does have all of the ps3's buttons so it might b possible to play with it o.O

of course you can play with less than 4, but i doubt you can specifically make it for 3 players

That's why the game isn't really meant for 1 person (unless you are creating stuff) so if you don't go online you will probably need someone else with you there to beat most of the levels.

They said max number of people on one playstation is 4 and max over the net will be 8 so its not TOO crowded and people mess about so it takes an hour to complete a level lol. They said it in some E3 thing.

uhh...perhaps I can clear things up. when they presented the game 4 people were playing (thus people think the min or max was 4) 8 players, is the maximum the PS3 can handle offline (4 plugged, 4 wireless) so who knows they might support 8 players offline when they presented it, the 4 played with 2 PS3s, 2 on each...so maybe max in 1 system to play online is 2... nothing is announced yet, all that we know is that at least 2 people in 1 system can play, and 4 people can play in 1 level online....

I was watching a demo by the Mediamolecule guys and they said that max on one console is 4. they said the max online is going to be most likely eight but that may change. They alkso said they tried playing with 40 and it took like an hour to finish a level cos of everyone stuffing around. LOL Also you can design your level to be however you want. It can be designed to be challenging for one person or challenging for 3, easy with 4 and impossible with 1. Its up to you. Because the online levels will be designed by us there will be a good mix online as well. You will have levels that are good for all different amounts of people. Imagine a level that cant be beaten without eight players. Everyone has to be doing something always for the whole group to slowly progress. Or just having eight players can make a timetrial level a lot faster. I think that this is what is going to make this game so good. There will always be new challenges for everyone to try. When people start getting bored they are going to think up something new which everyone is going to want to try.
