Controlinator/emitter options

Just two brief suggestion and kinda curious to how people feel about. Suggestion 1: have the emitter have an option to allow an object/shape to be emitted regardless if there is an object in the way. An example of how this could be utilized: could allow a creator to be able to destroy portions of a level while emitting new sections easier and could also allow for some clever special effects Suggestion 2: a controlinator option that allows creators to choose the direction sackboy enters. I kind of doubt that both of these will be implemented. Number 2 just seems buggy if they change the animation. Number 1: More than like the dephysicalizing tool will be in the game so it's not really necessary. The object would emit and be able to go through any object. Yeah, I've played around with the merge glitch. Suggestion 1 is going to be really messy, you'd get things flying all over the place as the collision model starts sorting out all these overlapping dynamic objects. I suppose if you really wanted this, you could emit onjects with a gravity tweaker with 100% dampening and a timer to turn it off after 0.1 second. Ok... so about the emitter. Imagine the "option" as it can be selected on/off to emit an object within another object...causing the before mentioned "clipping", which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Say you're in a level where a monster is stocking you and all of a sudden its claws bust through a wall. For a split second the claws emit (bust through back layer) and then retract into darkness, leaving a void (cutout shape of claws). The benefit is simply less logic required and how about not seeing the god awful pre-cutout shape of where said claws will magically ... unsurprisingly appear. | 2014-07-25 01:09:00 Author: KingerBrocku Posts: 45 |
