I have seen many creative levels that have a custom Kart flying. A good example is creator Onepoppa, his levels Jet Fighter 3 (https://karting.lbp.me/v/2dz7) and France 1918 (https://karting.lbp.me/v/4ff9) are exactly what I am referring to. I am new here and have searched Tutorials but can't seem to find the secret as to how this is done. Anyone care to share this creative info or provide a link so others can learn how to do this? When I experimented I got collision with objects still on the ground. Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't played these levels so I'm not sure the detail that goes into the controls, seems I need to check them out. I never considered this as a possibility, but my guess would be motors attached to the custom kart and Hologram platform a bit above the "ground". You can attach 2 pistons to the kart (one to the kart, and the other to the original piston), facing up and down respectively, with the forwards/reverse input setting. Use the kontrolinator chip and attach the up and down to the respective pistons. Might need to use a direction splitter. I'm not sure what this will do with the collision box or if it will keep you from hitting things on the ground though, just my theoretical approach. What have you tried so far?

I don't have all the answers for creating flying levels... yet! But... I did find a creator by the name of lisa_2k6 (https://karting.lbp.me/u/lisa_2k6) that created a unique Remote Control Flying Custom Kart. It's called "Flight Training (1P) (https://karting.lbp.me/v/3i6d)", it's basically a Tech Demo of the Logic needed and free giveaway. Using transmitters she has made a flying vehicle that works via remote control, the level is Free to Copy so all the Logic can be viewed and studied. Very nice of her! Her Level badge is clickable below. Many of the other levels on her Planet use unique Custom Karts - some are copyable levels, some are prizes. What have you tried so far? I have tried pistons but they won't attach to any matter that has Kart Chassis attached. Why? It would help Forcefield material that has Chassis attached to not collide with objects on the ground. Placement of Chassis determines contact point with the ground so Piston must be attached to same Material as the Chassis right? I was hoping to eventually have a "My Little Pony" level & also maybe Pixies & Fairies as a custom Kart if I can get it to work. Because the objects should fly quickly, I think a Kart Chassis would work best.

Ah, I see. I haven't got that much experience with this, but the kart chassis is very limiting, you're better off working without it. Make a plane using rockets and stuff and attach a camera and controller to control it. You can just hide the player somewhere and they'll never know. Also, lisa_2k6's levels are very good indeed.
