Triple Oscillator for creating your own sounds

Archive: 2 posts

Hello everyone.
I recently went into my FL Studio and started playing with the 3xOSC (it's a triple oscillator, if you couldn't tell)
Then I thought, wouldn't it be great if we had this in LBP?
For one, it could let us create our own sounds instead of having to buy DLC to get new music sequencer tracks.
It could also allow for some more interesting tracks with different sounds instead of the ones that everyone has and can create.
So, what do you guys think?
(Gonna go put this in LBP3 suggestions too)

Yesssss. Like I said in my LBP3 thread! But everyone's like "nuuuu 2 hard 4 me :'<" I don't want to sound like a jerk to the people who responded to my thread, (because I respect them and all) but they're bashing ideas they've barely ever tried. Only one of them had actually tried to learn a synth, and it was Harmor. Now Harmor is a confusing subtractive synth with a Part A and Part B and an Imaging section for re-synthesis and an FX chain, complex phaser, pluck section, filtering envelopes, articulators for each aspect of the synth, chorus by voices, several types of distortion and the list could go on. All you and I are asking is a synth that's straight-forward. Three oscillators, an amp envelope and a filter. Blending synthesis would allow players SO much more freedom. I

n LBP2 it was a secret how to get those two sounds Velvet--Audio used, and once you found out how you'd use them, and the fun was over. With real synthesis, you hear a sound someone created and are mystified. What waveforms did they use? How much did they detune it? How is it rising up like a deadmau5 pluck in the song? They're all questions that get you experimenting more and creating new sounds that you can use and truly make a name for yourself by creating your own style. Isn't that what LBP was all about? Creators have their own style, of visuals, or gameplay, or character design, or dialogue, or story, etc. Can music composers not have their own style of synths? Simple logic doe. I just wish people would be more open to it.
