Creating with Cross Controller

Archive: 12 posts

So I finally broke down and got a vita. I have been playing through the story levels and I really like the potential I am seeing for create. However, when I enter create mode I notice that the popit on the vita sackboy only has objects, materials, stickers, and costumes that I have earned in the cross controller pack. I was hoping that I would be able to build just as freely on the vita screen. Am I doing something wrong or is there no way to get the other materials and stickers into the vita screen? In particular I would like to be able to put stickers I made with the paint tool into the vita screen. If anyone has any answers on this I would be very grateful. Thank you so much!2014-07-15 19:11:00

We were all hoping for that. Unfortunately what comes in the pack is all you get to use on the Vita.
I haven't done it, but thought it could be fun to make a a cross control level where all the Vita side is mostly pictures of the real world using the vita cam.

When I messed with Cross Controller, the real life pictures I took using the snapshot camera on the Vita were transferred to my LBP2 Sackboy which was pretty cool.

Thanks guys. At least now I can quit searching through all the options and get creating. I hadn't really thought about using the camera feature (again new to the vita) but I think that should help getting things to look how I want. Thanks again!2014-07-16 23:33:00

Really? I figured it was mostly a portable LBP2 with some touch features. Is there something I'm missing?

Well that is being very cold about such an achievement As you said it is the complete LBP2 experience plus awesome new tools (the memorizer was originally Vita exclusive for example, but there are other exciting stuff such as tilt, touch and rear touch, different and improved way of handling signal division and addition, etc.) AND it is definitely much better than creating with the Cross Controller DLC and has much more public to attract attention to your creations.
Imo a portable LBP experience that has no downhills compared to LBP2 is worth it

Haha I'm sorry if I cam across as cold. Naturally any LBP game gets praise from me. The big reason I mitigate it is because I have always personally preferred console games, especially for LBP type games. I didn't know that there were improvements regarding signal manipulation. Those kind of things are what draw me most to the newer LBP titles. Here is hoping LBP3 will allow for variable declaration and better remote manipulation of variables!

Other LBPV improvements I can think of are: the BEAUTIFUL dephysicalize tool; the dynamic/static settings, invisible material (now introduced to LBP2 as DLC); more level spaces on your Earth to publish (if I recall correctly there are 30 instead of 20); etc. And don't overlook the touch gameplay, after all pretty much every app in the smartphone market is based on it! Man if I haven't convinced you to take a look at the game yet I won't be able to do it never
Tarsier did a wondeful job there. Did I mention the Story Mode was designed as well with some community memeber stars such as comphermc and/or lockstitch?

Haha! I was probly gonna get it anyway but some of those new features sound pretty cool! Also I didn't know about comphermc and lockstitch working on the story. That's pretty cool as it was comphermc's videos that really brought me into the lbp create. I didn't mean to be rude or anything. I'm sure I'm gonna love it when I get it.2014-07-18 01:21:00
