| The only thing...correction..one of the things I don't understand about this game is when you enter the noby noby house and choose "new map" and it generates you a new random map...what dictates the new map you end up on..must be completely random? | This section is probably the reason I might get this game. Using the Sun as an intermediary, you can report the total number of metres you've stretched BOY to GIRL, who will grow by the same amount. It won't get her far - but everyone else playing the game is doing so too, and it's the cumulative amount of stretching done in Noby Noby Boy by PS3 users across the world that drives GIRL's voyage into the stars. Eventually - Takahashi reckons it will take players a couple of weeks - she'll link Earth to the Moon, and then Mars. (Who knows if more planets in the solar system could be added at a later date?) Once she's got that far, these celestial bodies can be visited, bringing new sets of maps with even crazier toys and even stranger inhabitants. GIRL also serves as a global high-score table, ranking every player by the amount they've contributed to her solar-system-spanning stretch. Every ranked player gets their own procedurally-generated, yet unmistakably Takahashi-designed, avatar perched on GIRL's back, and there's a plethora of stats and records to browse. | Picked it up after reading the Eurogamer review last night. I didn't get to play it too much, but it gets a big thumbs up from me just for the creativity. Controls are intuitive enough and - even though they aren't necessarily the simplest set I've come across - the game handles beautifully. Im not sure of the mechanics exactly but I think if you eat increasingly larger things the BOYs head will become larger, and if you try at it, it is possible to eat HUGE things. I've bought the game and find it to be great. I'm pretty sure it's made by the same people as Katamari Daimacy, it has a very similar art style and execution, and the parent company is the same. It even has subtle references to it if you know the series.  I'll have to start sending messages to people on my friends list that have it. I've seen a few people that have the game now.  The maps seem to be completely random. I've only had relatively boring ones. The last one I was on had some sheep to play with, but I had to go before I could fully explore the posibilities.
