Touch from LBPV?

Archive: 6 posts

I loved the first two LBPs to death, but LBPV holds a special place in my heart with its touch-screen capabilities. Me and my friends discussed how we could transfer the Vita's touchscreen to PS4, by way of the touch-pad. If any of you has ever played Trine 2, you'll know that as the Knight, you can click the touch pad to add a cursor to the screen, which you can move my sliding your finger around the pad, and click again to select an object (which in Trine you'd magnetize, but could 'enable' objects to function not too much unlike the touch capabilities in LBPV.)

Also, my other suggestion would be a buoyancy meter for objects in water, deciding if you want it to float, or sink.

That's all I got as of now, especially with the new additions shown in the LBP3 trailer!

I'd be happy if they simply keep cross controller options on the ps4. As for buoyancy... I suggest you take another look at the options on an anti-gravity tweaker.2014-07-09 14:33:00

Trust me, I have lol The buoyancy on the anti-gravity only leaves the object suspended until interacted with by the player, but my preference is that some option allow it to sink or drop (in and out of water) of its own weight.

I'll certainly miss the touch screen to toggle preview mode on/off in create. Game play-wise, not so much...

As for supporting the PS4 touch-pad, and whatever else the PS4 controller has, I'm certainly all for it...however it would mean those levels wouldn't be playable on the PS3.

My one concern with the touch-pad is that it would operate/feel much like using the Vita's rear-touch pad...which I don't think works well for anything.

They said in an interview that they are planning some neat stuff with vita (I think referring to Cross-controller) in future DLC.

The possibilities with that could be pretty sweet!

I don't know how practical this is to code in, but sometimes I'd feel it'd make advanced logic gizmos could be simplified if you could select sensors to emit ONTO to objects, already connected to the receiver of your choosing.
