Multi-Input Pathing (Simpler way?)

Archive: 6 posts

I was wondering if this could be made somehow without the OR gates, as to save thermo and time when making multi-input/output systems

anyone have an idea?

Colors for easily visible wirepathing

I thank you in advance for trying to fix this

I looked at the pic. I assume I'm seeing 1 selector, 2 microchips, and 5 or gates. Without more info it is tough to simplify. You have 10 inputs and five final outputs. With that said why do you need a selector and microchips? (I'm sure there is a reason ;-) I'm just saying you have 10 signals reduced to 5. They have to be combined somehow. What about the same 5 tags on each chip one for each outcome? Probably won't save thermo, but it will make things wireless and save you time.2014-07-05 02:34:00

What im doing is having a multi-input system that does something like 5 similar output, but different series of triggers

IE first five are from one situation and second five are from another situation, and permissions are being toggled

Tags would actually heavily increase the use (because you would need one tag per wire instead of one gate per system of wires) in this case it would be 10 tags instead of 5 or gates

Is only one output active at a time or multiple?
Does signal strength matter? If you can manipulate the signal strength, you can use one wire to carry all the info to a positional sequencer. If your end result is a score giver or emitter or something you could place all 5 right on the sequencer.

Completely intact analogue/digital values, and activity can range in any combination possible

Just wondered if you could use the microchips somehow to replace the or gates completely

Maybe someone knows a way, but to me it looks like you have to use those or gates.2014-07-05 17:42:00
